(Han yells for deck officer.) But I am sure you will get to it later. :) Or the rebel base doors closing too early.
like i said the new clip was mainly to show the differences in colour and with a few tweaks added. the majority of "fix" work will be done once all the colour correction is completed

not sure which part you mean here but that scene never did have any music in any cut of the movie.

yeh, as much as i liked that cue originally when i was younger, it now annoys me that it is used later in the film in vaders mediation chamber scene and now in my mind seems to depict the empire. Have you any thoughts as to what cue would fit better ?

they have brightened up the levels so much that in many shots any detail in brighter scenes has been lost. the only sources that i can attempt to repair that matte are cropped at the sides so i don't know how the hell i'm going to be able to fix it yet.

Looking at the angle of the close-ups the first window probably wouldn't be visible, or if it is it would be by only a fraction so not really any need to fix that, plus the windows are around the corner so you wouldn't see them in the outside shot
the TIEs at he end i think i will just have them swoop towards the city towards the end as they are escaping but from the opposite side so the falcon would have escaped before they could get to them
i know i haven't answered everything but i'm getting pretty lost due to the high volume of suggestions so sorry if i haven't replied to your suggestion.
i wonder if someone could do me a huge favour? it would be a huge help for me if someone could go through the thread and collect all the suggestions into one post so i can better keep account of what has been suggested so far? it would be so much easier having it all in one place than having to go through all the pages and would save me time that could be better spent on the edit
well the monitor died tonight. i'm now working on an old 15"lcd tv with an amazing resolution of 800 x 600, so reading the forum now is pretty bloody hard. doing the edit is out of the question until i get the monitor replaced. i loved my old LG monitor too. most of the monitors i've seen aren't half as good picture quality wise as the LG.
i always hate asking this but the only way i can get a monitor replacement that is any good for doing my work is opening up another donation plea again. i hate doing this but i have no other choice. its just typical this had to happen now because i'd started to save up to get a quad core processor cuz this PC is really struggling to handle the higher resolution video i'm, working with this time and thats just with the colour correction (although i am having to use a lot more layers and masks on ESB that i ever did with ANH. curse you lucasfilm. next time don't employ Stevie Wonder to do your colour correction). Now i've got to forget that quad core just so i can get this monitor now (gutted. could have done so much more in less time too)
