I'm not actually getting *all* that, I know perfectly well that's all basically pointless excess. I said able to *afford* - I'd just like to have the option to afford what I want without having to compromise, and I *will* eventually need a more powerful computer in the future.

Maybe if Apple allowed demo periods or something of that nature, I'd give it a shot, but I've used a friend's iPhone a couple of times and it did not impress me in the slightest. I can do everything I need in a phone with my Samsung perfectly fine.
