Don't get me wrong, I'm typing this on my MacBook Pro with OS X Leopard I purchased while listening to music in my 80 GB iPod. But I think the iPhone and MacBook Air are both ridiculous pieces of useless technology.
Now if they could have iPhone-like touch technology with an actual computer and make it work, we'd be on our way to incredibly cool, intuitive "Minority Report"-esque computers down the road, which I'd love to no end.
Sorry for my little rant - to answer your question, no, I won't now, nor will I ever buy an iPhone.
I am relishing the day in the future when I'll be able to afford an 8-core Mac Pro with a 30" HD display, 32 GB RAM, a 1.5 GB graphics card, and 4 terabytes of hard drive space ... a man can dream ...
