Just found them!!! They were easy, but not too easy.

Thanks Ady!! I especially love the Commander Reiker one...That brought back so many memories, not of Trek of course, but of...well...you know...I hope everyone finds them quickly too.

2. He takes the chicken across first, goes back and takes the fox, then takes the chicken back, then takes the grain, then goes back for the chicken.

No no no, you've got it all wrong.

1) He was a midget, so he couldn't reach the top buttons.

2) The surgeon was the patient's mother.

Ok clues to the whereabouts of the easter eggs.

1. in the place where Americans call trash reside you must turn left when you reach commander Riker of the Enterprise to meet the group of judges at the talent show. Here lies you destiny

2. when you are in that special place where they fly-by night, you discover the secret where to where the unwanted are kept. You must resist temptation and right your wrongs to find the find the one who dons the combined spectrum of light

Pretty easy really. Have fun. the answers on Tuesday evening

Heh... I found them pretty easy the night after I got the DVD from vbangle (kudos to you, man!). I just clicked back and forth on all menus until I found both easter eggs.

Your clues sound like something outta EarthBound, if you ask me! Like the sorta prophecy Buzz Buzz is buzzing about when he first meets Ness at the start of the game.

But I digress; this is Originaltrilogy.Com, not Starmen.Net.

Ok, my apologies is this is a naive question, but how is the new torrent to be burned to a DVD? It contains a 7.78 gig .ISO file as well as a 128 kb "VIDEO_TS_files_fixed.rar".

If you plan on burning it with Imgburn, you need to open up the ISO and apply the fix. However, if you're using Nero or CD Burner XP or something like that, you can just burn the image to your disc.

Ok it turns out that there may not be an issue with the latest torrent posted. I think a few people have jumped to conclusions and contacted me, thinking it was the old torrent. I'm waiting on someone to get back to me to confirm this

Has this been verified yet? I can't burn the DVD9.ISO until I get some DL discs.

I do not fear the Dark Side as you do.

Been a long time lurker and I'm very interested in viewing this cut. I was just wondering what the difference is between the DVD-5 or 9 and the Purist edition?

DVD-5:

"Revisited" version with all changes, minus one or two small errors that were fixed for the DVD-9 (number of guns on the rack, for example)

DVD-9:

"Revisited" version with all changes, best video quality, most extras, and all errors fixed ("final" version)

PURIST:

DVD-5 of a version with no added music, no new Death Star reveal, Ben's hut scene restored to theatrical version, and I think the Death Star battle is closer to original version (no big TIE reveal).

I *think* I got most of the differences.

thanks to both. I found it about ten pages back. I can't wait to view this movie. I downloaded it last night but some of the rar files were corrupt so I've been downloading the files I need today during work.

Ady, I was watching your edit last night, and remembered a question I had for you:

The music you added to the Death Star "conference scene" -- specifically, the violin music that plays in the background while Vader chokes Admiral Motti -- where's that from? I love it... it sounds something from a Hitchcock movie.

I've posted a little something to my website. It's called the "Adywan Archive".

This is a collection of trailers and clips that Adywan has released for his awesome ANH Revisited project. Right now I have 27 files, but maybe I'll get more from others in the near future.

Maybe someone can put together a supplemental DVD-ROM that can house all this stuff.

It's about 1 GB in size, so I'm hesitant to post a direct link here, since all the traffic might gobble up my bandwidth. So I'll be passing out the link via PM, for a few people a day.

For now, the first 3 people to PM me will get the link.

Adywan, I've sent you a PM with the link, so you can check it out too.

Finially got around to burning my copy the other night from the torrent I downloaded and I'm having problems with the menu's. They either stop the dvd or return everything to the main menue. I applied the fix that came with the torrent. Was there another fix the torrent didn't come with?

Was yours the ISO version or the unpacked folders version? There is a fix a few pages back but still let us know what version you have.

Greetings all.

New member, long time reader.

I found this forum after looking around for ideas on how to improve the non-anamorphic DVDs of the OT, beyond simply upconverting them to anamorphic. I didn't have it in me to go beyond that step because I figured as long as I don't have to hit that 'zoom' button, that's good enough for the time being. I became intrigued with the idea of improving on changes done by a multi-million dollar visual effects house like ILM, and therefore I downloaded the DVD-5 version of this REVISITED film.

Not only has the stunningly brilliant man behind this improved on the work done by ILM, but I'd easily say that they've been surpassed. That is by no means a simple feat, but the very idea of outclassing and outthinking both Lucasfilm and ILM is such a bold, even spiteful thing to do and Adywan has succeeded immensely.
Cheers to you, good sir. Your talents and based on this whole thread, which I am currently reading (I'm on page 14 and I'm going to read the whole thing) your dedication and generosity are an inspiration.

I am currently downloading the torrent for the DVD-9 version, 80.9% so far (that's after two days, non-stop download with speed hovering between 30 and 60KB/s) and will be done in roughly 9 hours time.

As I have been reading the latter pages of this thread because of the problems with the ISO, I can say that the torrent consists of the following files:

- STAR_WARS_REVISITED_NTSC_DVD_9.iso (7.78GB)
- VIDEO_TS_files_fixed.rar (128KB)
- "Torrent downloaded from..." text file

I trust imgburn more than I trust Nero, because I have wasted DL discs using Nero, but both imgburn and the Sony DVD Architect DVD burner program have both worked with those discs perfectly. So this means I just have to use the files in the RAR and replace the ISO's IFO's with the RAR ones?

Ironic that it's criminal that Adywan isn't compensated for his efforts, which in itself would be criminal!

Well, I dunno if 'spite' would be quite the right term, but there is a certain amount of 'in your face!'ness to it, right Ady? ;)
