small update here...
1) unless you are paying a lot for electricity,
or have a very loud computer near you (bedroom, etc)
if your computer is very modern, it WILL have the proper
cooling to leave your computer on 24/7...
i used to turn my computer off when i wasn't using it,
but now, i trust my computer to work constantly..
it's a matter of preference..
more links here : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=should+i+leave+my+computer+on+all+the+time
(note the first link is very old, and says not too...)
my computer is basically a server,so it HAS to be on 24/7,
from the first day i got it (5 months ago), i've only turned
it off 3 times..1 to reinstall XP after vista wasn't working right.
2 after reinstalling some software....3 after i accidentally unplugged
it about a week ago..
other than that, it has been running 100% with no issues day and night..
of course downloading/seeding torrents is going on
2) yes some of the torrents are going slow right now, since i'm seeding
about 10 of them (including non-star wars stuff, music videos..and
a very cool battlestar galactica 1978-revisited fan cut!!-called the
saga of starworld, with new effects, deleted scenes etc)..
here's the status , as more people join/complete/it will go much faster,
my upload is 5Mb/or about 400k, but i am averaging 200k overall,
with about peaks of 40k-50k per torrent...
