I decided to pay for RapidShare to get the DVD9 version. The 48 hour subscription worked out to about $7 US. The 1 month works out to about $11.
On a cable modem, doing 4 files at a time, I got the whole thing in about 6 hours. When I got the DVD5 version, I did it for free (one file at a time, 2 hour downtime between them) and it took me a full week of after work periods and almost whole weekend days morning to night.

HEYZEUS MAN! It would take less time and money to just get past the fright of learning something new and getting it from usenet. I understand though. Before I understood it seemed very daunting. Now I can't even imagine what my problem was.
