Slightly off topic, but I have to vent.

RapidShare's free download service (which I need to use to get MoveAlong's disc label) now makes you type in a security code to download. Fine by me.

But that's not all - you have to type in only the letters with a cat in them. No joke. Problem is, they ALL look like they have a cat in them to me! WTF? This is getting out of hand ... it's absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah, they made that harder because apparently someone figured out a way to have a bot type it in when it was "Type all the characters below". On the up side, it slows down the hackers and leeches; on the down side, it makes it harder for the legit people to use.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

I spent about 2 minutes one day squinting to spot all the cats. It's bloody hard.

Is there any way at all that I can get this in mp4 format? To have it on my iPod would be amazing...

Yeah, because there's nothing better than watching a widescreen film on a 2" screen. ',:-\

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt - my roommate had all his movies on his computer in iPod format so he could put it on his iPod and plug that into the TV, rather than carrying around an enormous DVD collection (and I mean enormous - this guy had 2 and a half terabytes worth of movies that were on average 1-1.5 gigs each).

My suggestion - download the DVD-5 or DVD-9 and convert it yourself with HandBrake.

I will make a iPod video of this and upload it to the usenet if you would like....

I have to admit I have on occasion enjoyed watching movies on my Zen. Not sure I'd care to watch this one on it, but I get it.

What is usenet? If it's safe and easy to use, than that would be most welcome (though the correct iPod specifications must be in place, mainly the resolution).

And also, a little-known-fact is that the iPod has a "Fit To Screen" option. So, if the video file is anamorphic widescreen and not letterbox, the iPod can fit the picture to fit the entire screen and create a full-screen version.

I know exactly how to encode video for the ipod as I have been doing it for 3 years. I have 150 movies in my collection that I have encoded myself. You say "What is usenet?" There is a learning curve to it. If you are interested in learning about it go here.

It is the absolute best way to share files but it is not as "point and click" as torrents or limewire. It is however much faster.

Wait, I just looked at it again...

1. My computer can't do .rar's.

2. I don't want the movie split into hundreds of parts on my iPod.

Unless I'm reading that wrong...

Your computer should be able to do rars. all you need is a program like winrar. The rar files are just the movie split into a compressed package for posting. Once you have all the rar files then you open up one of the rar in winrar and it will unpack all the files into the movie. the movie will not be split at all once unpacked

OK, a few things:

1. I love the clips on Youtube - you are a genius to have made this!
2. I wish you the best of luck on ESB Revisited.
3. Where do I get winrar, and is it an official Windows program?
4. I would still need the film in .mp4 format before I have any point in getting winrar in the first place.

It's technically shareware, which means there's a trial period and then you have to pay after a month or two ... but I've been using it for years on my Windows PC, and every time it asks me to buy it now, I just click cancel and it keeps working.

Ok, I just managed to burn the DVD9 without the ISO fix using Nero. When I fire it up in my stand-alone player and try to access the two new Deleted scenes - Alderaan and Luke & Biggs - the disc ejects. Do I need the ISO fix anyway? Tried it on the computer using VLC Media Player - same problem. Trying the Isolated Music Track also locks up the player.

Anyone?

What make of DL-DVD are you using? When you try the isolated track is it your stand alone player or VLC that locks up? It does sound like a bad burn to me but VLC isn't the best player to use for DVDs as i've had problems with that player locking up when using it to watch a dvd

Sony DVD-DL, Magnavox stand-alone DVD recorder and tried various player softwares for the computer - VLC, Windows Media and Nero Showtime. Cyberlink PowerDVD isn't working properly at the moment...gotta re-install it or upgrade or something. Problem happens no matter how I play it. Tried burning a second copy, same problem.

Well other people have managed to burn the NTSC DVD-9 using nero without the fix successfully so i'm not sure what the problem could be. You say that PowerDVD has stopped working so it could be a problem with your system somewhere. Does your standalone player play DL DVD's that you have burned before without problems? The best thing to so is apply the fix and burn with imgburn. Its really easy to do. If you still have problems after the fix then you have a problem with either the media or your system
