Seeing the Wampa was great after all the years of not really seeing him but it also took away the mystery of that creature so i want to return that scene to having that mystery so no more wampa.

I agree with you here Ady, most of the SE Wampa scenes ruin the "unknown terror" the Wampa represents. How many of those SE shots do you plan to remove? Just my opinion now, but I would remove all the SE shots of the Wampa eating but leave in the final SE shot of the Wampa screaming and clutching its shoulder after Luke severed its arm, I actually like that final shot. But if you want to remove all SE shots that's cool to.

So are you officially on vacation now that all ANH Revisited versions are completed? If so, enjoy your time off and please let us know when you plan on starting work on ESB. Peace to you Adywan.

You need to hop over to the ESBR thread! We're having fun over there arguing the same points.

I know doubleofive, I goofed. I actually wanted to post this in the ESB thread.

That's OK, I thought we were having that conversation in the IV thread and that we should move it to the V. I'm just as confused as you are!

also, I had done cover art some time ago and posted the rapidshare link for those interested, it didn't make it into the DVD-ROM folder though. No bruised feelings or anything, but it's still over at fanedit.org if anybody wants it.

Damn, sorry about that. I thought i had put them all on the DVD.

no worries - the DVD-9 is beautiful! thanks again for all your work and your amazing talent!

Ady, the DVD-9 is amazing. I just wish you would have included a way to watch the film with the extended Alderaan spliced into the movie. I love it! Simply amazing work!

A thought occurred to me today.

With the flurry of paying-it-forward, and the problems with the NTSC image and ImgBurn, I have a question:

I am assuming that, once the DVD is burnt, then I can use whatever tool I wish to make an image of it and then burn that image to a duplicate. Which is to say, that I can coerce the initial image onto the disc, use ImgBurn to make a copy of that initial disc, and then use ImgBurn's image to burn as many copies as I wish.

But I wanted first to run the concept past those more knowledgeable than I.

I to would have loved to see that extended Alderan in the movie. I love how Bail and Jar Jar just sit there knowing that that are up sh!t creek and waiting to die.

Hey Ady did you ever plan on changing the stormtroopers laser blasts to blue like in the prequels? Or do you just plan on changing the prequels to match the OT?

I personally don't have a problem with the clones having blue blasts and everyone else having red. I don't really have a justification why except that the blue looks really awesome. Besides, it would be really hard/impossible to change the clone blasts to red, with the hundreds of thousands of blasts during the Battle of Geonosis alone, especially when the dust flies up and the air is lit bright blue as the troops continue to shoot through the dust...

Sorry, I love those shots for some reason.

Anyway, I'm sure Adywan never really considered changing the stormtroopers' blasts to blue, since that would be bringing the prequels into the OT, which he tries to avoid. I'm not sure how we can justify that with an "in universe" explanation, but I'm sure George didn't have a reason other than the Battle of Geonosis would be really confusing if they were all shooting red at one another.

And blue is awesome.

Why should the blast colors match? The guns don't match. The clones' guns in the prequels are different models than the troopers' guns in the OT. Maybe they have a different energy signature, which makes the blasts a different color. By that logic, if you're going to make all the gun blasts the same, then all the lightsabers should be the same color too.

There's no reason to change the colors.

I've been doing some experiments with folding origami boxsets. I have a ream of 17 x 11 inch paper which is perfect, and I've worked out how to fold it, but I'm not entirely sure how to reproduce it in instructions. Maybe a video would suffice. I also need to experiment and see how well it glues together.

Finally, I'll need to create some appropriate diagrams so that people wishing to design custom boxsets know which areas are printable.

Unfortunately, I don't know when I'll be able to create the video because my camera's run out of power and I can't find the charger. :/

I took it as a non sequitur too, but then I realized that it's [interpreting here] about folding a DVD box from paper, presumably a box for multiple cases, and then indicating which are the printable areas on this piece of ledger paper so that the folded result comes out looking nifty.

I think you are misunderstanding me. I am asking if Ady thought about it. I really do not care either way. I am just trying to get an idea of things Ady thought about doing, but ultimately did not do. I can understand that the guns are not the same and that is the reason they fire different colors.

For those interested in a box for their personal Star Wars DVD collections, check out Paul Champagne's website here. Scroll down the page and you'll see a number of Star Wars boxes, a couple of which would be ideal for Adywan's revisited collection.

I actually emailed this guy a year or so ago regarding a Star Trek films DVD box, and he took me up on my advice and added another design to the list. Perhaps if the request was made (or enough requests were made), he might consider doing a box set specifically for Star Wars Revisited.

Hey Ghostcut, I've just uploaded cover art for the Purist edition to Rapidshare http://rapidshare.com/files/116592356/revisited_4_label_purist_copy.jpg.html , I altered Ady's fantastic cover to suit. I must say it looks nice alongside the amazing DVD-9.
I have been following this thread for months now and downloaded all versions. I must say Ady, you have done a bloody brilliant job mate. You should be very proud of your Amazing work.
I would have added a picture of the disc art here, but I don't know how :-(

By the way, I can start a PIF chain if anyone is interested. I have the PAL DVD-9 and the PURIST edition. I will deliver to the first 3 replies I get for each version. I have used Verbatum for the DVD-9 and TDK for the Purist. Let me know if you're interested.

Someone on this thread a while back posted a link to a site with a TON of star wars pictures. I was wondering if anyone knows the link to that site. It would be great because I really do not want to search through all 5000 some odd posts.

I just tried getting your label and while it looked fine on screen in the browser, once I saved it and tried to bring it up in some other program, it wouldn't load.

Same here -- I recall having similar problems trying to save images from Rapidshare before, as well. :-( Anybody have any ideas why this happens? I'm using Firefox.

Cool job with the green, though!

Take care,
