ive been thinking about the whole captain needa's shuttle thing.

i'm not sure it is necessary to have his shuttle in as we already know he is getting one from the dialogue, but a scene of the star destroyers is required to at least bring the viewer's attention back to the fleet, so thus the shuttle makes a bit of sence as just something to catch our attention, and then maybe to remind us who the dead guy is!

so i think whatever shot you use should contain the key elements, ie the superstar destroyer and (probably) a shuttle. i wonder if you could use a similar, but far smaller, version of Vader's shuttle approaching the DSII, ie

[FRONT OF SHUTTLE] -----> [REAR OF SHUTTLE APPROACHING DSII (or reimposed executor)]

if you flip the scenes horizontally and change the speed and distance it could be disguised nicely and save you working on any nasty CG.:)
