A very 1950's B-movie feel to that title too.
Anyone ever watch the original black and white The Quatermass Xperiment? Holy geez, it felt like the movie was made yesterday due to the pacing and solid acting. Ray Harryhousen, The Incredible Shrinking Man, The Day the Earth Stood Still, all great serious and also fun 1950's and such films.
On TCM the other day, more like a few weeks ago, there was a film with Harry Belafonte where he was one of the last people on Earth. It was in B&W in 2.35:1. Forgot the name of it but it was actually quite good.

Don't forget, there was also a Monkey King script Chris Columbus wrote before or after Last Crusade was made. It's too bad Iron Phoenix and Spear of Destiny weren't made into games a la Fate of Atlantis like they were intended to.
