Idea & Info: Darkman II Director's Cut and TV Pilot

I read on IMDb that the Sci-Fi TV version of Darkman II is superior to the DVD version (and possibly the Director’s Cut). Additionally, there was of course the “Darkman” TV pilot, which I’d love to see. Seems like it’d make for a good DVD. Hopefully I’m not the only one interested.

I've got the pilot, but I've never seen any alternate cuts of the sequel around. I'd love to check it out.

The pilot isn't anything special, really. It's a very condensed version of the first film, and nowhere near as entertaining.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

I read that the pilot was good. Either way, if someone made the disc for the TV Darkman II, it would make a good bonus feature. Worth watching once, probably, if only for the curiosity value.

It's too bad they didn't get Bruce to star in the sequels. I'm sure Arnold Vosloo is a nice guy but there's probably nothing, especially no Sam Raimi property, that couldn't be improved with some Bruce.

Another good extra for this DVD would be the two Darkman EPK featurettes that were included on a UK PAL video release some years ago that have never made it onto DVD. Unfortunately the tape is Macrovision-protected, but I'm sure someone here has the ability to get past it.

I wish they'd have put those on the DVD. Of course, I wish they'd have done an SE by now...you'd think with Spider-Man they'd have done one but I guess not...

No, it's been dead here latley - not a soul is even interested in the DUNE restoration which took over a year to do.

I'd love to see the TV cut of Darkman II. I always felt that movie had a lot of potential.

The TV Pilot was on torrent a while ago, but it seems dead now

I have been collecting Tv version of films for years and ---

Why can't I locate this? I have talked to every source I possibly know in this collecting business and can't seem to find anyone that has it. Not even in crappy form!

DOES anyone knows where we could find a copy?

Thanks

Did you check the IMDB board for the film Mitch?  There's one guy who's started a thread about the TV cut who sounds like he has it.

If anyone can confirm that there was really more than one version of Darkman II? Because I have never heard about this before and I have only ever watched the normal DVD version of Darkman II.

Bruce? Bruce Campbell? He’s not in these movies. You mean Liam Neeson?
