Well, the torrent just started, so what do you expect? If you're looking to leech, you might want to give it a week.

And besides, the person who started the torrent also started the PIF chain. I guess someone forgot to send you your personalized, solid-gold, archive-quality, professionally-pressed DVD.

I just received a copy of the purist edition from my good friend erikstormtrooper and have one more opening for the PIF chain....who wants it?

Ahem....

A "PIF (pay it forward) chain", a.k.a. a "DVD tree," is where the maker of the disc (the tree) sends it to a few people (the branches). Those people then send it to a few more, who each send it to a few more, etc, etc...until demand runs out.

Adywan (or anyone else) - Has anyone put up any specifically 'PURIST' version cover art, or disc art also, do you know? If so, where please? If not, there's a gap there surely...

By the way, am awaiting my own PIFed copy of the 'PURIST' version soon, and have 'g-rev' on board for one from me then. So the first next two to PM me can also get it from me. I'll post here who the other 2 are that will get them. I'm in U.K. but will accept from anywhere. :)

No, no one has made any PURIST cover art. I was thinking about it, but without any special features or even menus, I didn't think it was worth it.

doubleofive - Thanks for the confirmation, that's what I thought. However, as it's such a different edit to Adywan's extended version, it seems a shame that no-one would do something for it for completists like myself.

Even if it's just a case of alteration to the wording of various existing covers perhaps...

The cover I created oh so long ago was made as a "catch-all" cover. It's not made specifically for any one version, nor is it for PAL or NTSC. I specifically made it this way so as to encompass all available versions. That's part of the reason no special features list is included. Hell, I guess if someone preferred the spine, cover, or logo of someone else's work, it'd be an easy fix to paste those over my version, making that cover not locked down to any one version. (Not that I want anyone to do this and upload it. It's just a suggestion as a quick photoshop edit for those who have one or more different covers.)

And, Ady's cover will trump us all anyway, so the point may be moot. :)

I will attempt to create a PURIST version of my cover, without making it look like I just deleted the Bonus Features section.

We shall see...

EDIT: Ady, do we have a list of changes to the PURIST edition, other than the one I compiled at fanedits.com?
