Ginger Snaps is a fairly recent series of werewolf flicks produced in Canada. In the first film, Ginger is attacked by a werewolf and begins to exhibit werewolf-like characteristics herself in a kind of puberty/sexual awakening-type bent. In the second film, Ginger's younger sister is also beginning to exhibit the characterstics and is injecting wolfsbane to keep it under control. Because of her track marks, she's assumed to be a junkie and winds up in a mental hospital for delinquent teens, whereupon she discovers that the original werewolf who infected her sister is coming for her, not to kill her, but to mate.
