Well, there was the "Antarctica, 1982" title card, but no narration over it. And there wasn't any narration over the scene where we first see the cast. So I'm gonna go ahead and say that it wasn't the infamous TV version.

Mitch, you have a copy of that? Care to share it with the rest of us?
