I loved touches like the hyperspace tunnel towards the end and the new perspective for Obi-Wan deactivating the tractor beam. The major changes--the new Death Star introduction (and scoring--nicely done), the revamped TIE fighter attack, and the new Death Star battle were all terrific. The latter particularly has some great stuff. The new entrance for the TIEs is extremely well done--there's this great sense of "Oh, crap, we're in it now!" The new "Biggs? Biggs!" line also works really well, as if it was intended to be that way originally.
Now, when I read someone's comments about the music for the Ben vs. Vader duel, I wasn't sure how it would strike me. The editing is fantastic--not as flashy as the others, but you did a great job of making the duel less start-and-stop, and it's much improved. I do see where the music comments came from, though. It does seem like a bit much for what's happening--particularly in things like when Han, Chewie, Luke, and Leia all regroup, and the music volume goes down, but it's still really busy and dramatic. However, I will say that, given the fact that you were taking that approach, the way you got back into the original music and flow was very well done.
Overall, this was a top notch fan edit, probably the best I've seen, and the fact that you pulled off such an ambitious project so well is really amazing. Many kudos to you! Great job!!
EDIT: Ah, a purist edition. Interesting. I may try to wait and do a PIF with the DVD-9 version, but I'd definitely be interested in seeing the new perspective on Revisited. (A big thanks to OBtwosy for getting Revisited sent to me, BTW. If anyone in the U.S. needs a copy of the DVD-5, PM me)
