Ady, first of all, thanks from the bottom of this closet geek's heart for what you do. I don't know if you realize how important you've become to Star Wars fandom. To me, you truly "get" Star Wars in a way that us old timers (I'm 32) appreciate. I'd pay you to keep going if that's what it truly took. I have a singular love for the OT because of the special place it holds in my otherwise craptacular childhood. I "daydream edit" these movies all the time and have for years,and when I saw your finished product it was so close to what I wanted that the daydreams have stopped almost completely for ANH and has moved into high gear for Empire.
Secondly, let me tell you that today, and only today, you are one evil darkside SOB for this joke. Do you realize that not all of us have Vader's life preservation suit on and might actually have a stroke when we read that you've decided to cancel???? I found a brick in my shorts when I read that!!!!! Grrrrrrrrr baby.... grrrrrrrrrr
My son Lucas (yes I named him Lucas) and I love your work and love the fact the we have something to look forward to again. Thanks again, and I guess I am the one ol' Obi-wan was referring to, "Who's the more foolish? The fool, or the fool who follows it?" Or did he say ....follows HIM? That never made sense to say IT to me. Ah well, I digress.... Happy April Fool's Day.

I did all of the "Noo!" and "notes" myself. I apologize for what I put you through, but I tried to make each post more questionable than the last, ending with the obvious "Ewoks everywhere!"
I said I couldn't take on the project earlier, and I was serious. Adywan is the only person who can take it upon himself to do something of this magnitude. He is also the one who started the joke, so don't blame it on me, I was the one trying to bring you all back down!
We brought a couple lurkers in, so why don't you stick around guys? Apparently we're not all business around here, unless you're talking about arms being cut off. I suppose we'll get to that later...
EDIT: I've been wanting to make an impression on this board, but now I think I'm infamous... I'm a nice guy, honestly!

Just another lurker coming out from the shadows to say hello.
But glad to hear you are not stopping ;-)
One of the things that always annoyed me about ESB, is that the instruments in the snowspeeders, don't light up or anything. A small thing I know, but its always bugged me somehow. If you could do anything about it, it would be great.
Other than that, I love what you did with ANH, and from what you have planned for ESB so far, I am looking very much forward to the next Star Wars revisit.

- you could have an ewok pop out when Han slices open the tauntaun's stomach
- a couple ewoks could trip up an AT-AT with a vine... wait, there are no vines on Hoth... ok, they down it with a well placed snowball then...
- instead of Vader, Luke confronts a lightsaber-weilding ewok in the cave on Dagobah... although when its face explodes, I guess you'd just see a midget's severed head in there...
- ewoks could be overpopulating Cloud City, like tribbles from the original Star Trek... they could be getting into everything... one could even get frozen around Han's knees in the carbon freezing chamber
- when Luke is hanging off that vane from the bottom of Cloud City at the end, an ewok could be dangling there already... having a smoke maybe. Luke could bum one off him... it'd give him something to do till Lando got there
As you can see, the possibilities are limitless. Please, Ady, reconsider the ewoks!

Anyway, one of their arguments is that in such a widspread galaxy, it is still only humans that aid the Rebellion. Not until ROTJ do we se any alien members at all (besides Chewbacca).
Obviously, the real reason was effects and coustume limitations, but they try to paint the rebellion as rascists. My point is that, with the Rebellion growing in strenght after the massacre of Alderaan, perhaps we should se an alien or two among the rebels?
Unless this is too hard to do, of course, but it would be nice to undermine those kinds of threads further.

Which is why we should add Jar Jar to the Hoth battles.
But seriously, who's to say that the Rebellion we follow is the entire group and not just the human cell? Who runs a rebellion with only one group of people at one base? The leaders/organizers may be human, and that's why we follow that particular group around. When they meet up in RotJ to stage one final offensive is when we see other species, as if all of the separate cells that have been working together remotely are now together.
Not the best put together argument, but there it is.

But that is a good point. I think I've read before somewhere that what we follow in ANH and ESB is but one cell in the Rebellion.
Still, they do talk about "the rebel base" as if it was the only one. The sollustians and mon calamari that we se in ROTJ could have joined up after ESB.
I guess it could go either way :)
