I'm a recent newbie to this fabulous world of fan editing, and would greatly appreciate some helpful info. on the following -

Firstly, after recently watching the excellent Adywan 'STAR WARS revisited' XVID release on a p.c., someone was kind enough to put it onto a DVD for me using their equipment and knowhow. However, on watching this disc, I was disappointed to see that although it was overall a reasonable presentation, it was not perfect...

By this I mean the picture looked just a little 'shimmery and pixelated' in certain places, such as during the initial titles and crawl against the black space background. It is probably imperfect all the way through, but at 15 mins. in, at the Sandcrawler trundling through the canyon shot, it is noticeably 'shimmery'. Now is this down to my friend, or a limitation of the XVID's resolution?

Secondly, could someone here also enlighten me if there so far has been just the XVID release, followed by ONE Pal DVD-5 release and ONE NTSC DVD-5 release, or have there been more? Do these have more resolution than the XVID to give a PERFECT picture on a DVD? Are these the ones with all the extras? I believe a dual-layer DVD-9 with even more is coming? Many thanks.
