I would personally prefer the old Boba Fett voice, mainly for two reasons:

1. the line delivary was better

2. the voice was more intimidating, fitting a feared bounty hunter

It's really easy to explain too: a voice modulator built into the helmet to make himself more frightening, to build on his reputation and such.

Remember when Leia was disguised as a bounty hunter in Return of the Jedi? To say that her voice then was very different from her own nautural voice is an understatement.

My whole reasoning for returning to the original voice. thank you.

With some saying that it should remain as it does in the 2004 DVD version because it ties into the PT much better then you seem to forget that i will be doing the PT too and the voice will be changed in that to resemble the original ESB Wingreen voice. ANH is was the only film in the OT Revisited saga that i changed anything to tie in with the PT (and that was only really visuals). The other two will not be as i would prefer to alter things in the PT to match the OT now.

Glad to hear this Ady... I'm anxious to see what you do to pull this off (especially with Morrison's voice).

And I think a good point was made Bobby Jay, that accents aren't inherited, which also goes a long way in defending the OT Fett voice.

If my dad had inherited my granddad's accent, I think I'd have to slap him.
Now Boba is in fact an exact clone rather than a real son, but if my dad can grow up listening to that crazy accent while being chased by a tractor and whatnot for almost 20 years and not inherit it, I think Boba might too.

Especially since Boba's dad died when he was 10. He has plenty of time (at least 25 years) to forge his own accent.

As for changing Jango's accent when he has his helmet on, that is awesome. I will spend the next 8 years working on perfecting an ESB Boba impression just to have that job. I love how Ady said that he's changing the prequels to fit into the OT, not the other way around! I can't wait!

I know Ady said no more Jedi ideas in this thread, but I have had an idea in my mind all day. What if you changed Luke's lightsaber to blue. I know it may sound weird, but think about how cool it will look. Just let me know what you think. It was originally supposed to be blue anyways.

But it wouldn't show up against the sky at the Sarlacc pit, which is why they changed it to green. Besides, if Luke's saber was blue in RotJ, then there would be no precedent for the PT to have green lightsabers, because they would have either been blue or red.

However, Ady could just change all of the green (and purple!) sabers to blue and simplify everything...

I agree with keeping Luke's ROTJ saber green. Partly for the original reason, and also because it seems to be used in the PT as a sign of a superior Jedi — Qui-Gon and Yoda have them, for example. As for limiting the number of colours, I don't think that's much of a concern; one thing I really liked about MagnoliaFan's edit of Episode II was that Christopher Lee's lightsaber was recoloured to yellow, which (combined with removing his scene with Darth Sidious and any references to his "master") recasts him as a much more mysterious, ambivalent character. I'd really like to see the same changes made when Adywan gets around to editing that film.

With all the talk creeping into Jedi territory, I didn't know whether Ady might have addressed the Hoth battle scenes as there seemed to be a lot of discussion over the movement of the walkers.

I, for one, would prefer to leave the AT-ATs with that stop-motion action as it does give the impression that these machines are big and heavy with a real lumbering motion. A few more Snowspeeders would be good, but then it sounds like there is only really Rogue Squadron, so I'd guess bringing the numbers up to 12 (with most in the background) might be an idea. Maybe a couple more AT-STs perhaps? I'm sure those Rebel laser cannon towers would have been powerful enough to kill a couple of those!

It's a shame there isn't any footage of the extended Luke-Lando rescue at the end of the movie as it would have been good to see that.

I've given my opinion before that there isn't a lot to change about ESB and I stick by that opinion. The Vader sequence on Cloud City is probably the most jarring aspect, given it is blatantly not the original cast doing that bit and it was cobbled together with footage from Jedi, so am glad to see that Adywan will be removing or changing it.

As for the Yoda puppet, I think this is probably more alive and expressive than the CGI (and PT puppet) efforts made in the PT...whilst the CGI model is technologically superior, there's something about an actor actually reacting to something in front of him that makes the whole atmosphere work. Can you imagine Mark Hamill having to act to nothing as Ewan McGregor did in most of the PT? I'd reckon the whole Dagobah sequence would have come off really badly! I'd leave Yoda free of any cosmetic changes...

Now just quickly back to Jedi and Luke's green lightsaber...Remember, Luke lost his original saber and would have made a new one based on his mentor's one - since he had two mentors, perhaps he modelled the actual hilt on Obi-Wan's and took Yoda's green colour. After all, we don't know that Yoda didn't show him some saber skills during his time on Dagobah...

Sorry if this was all addressed...been a bit busy! :p

I was thinking about the Yoda puppet last night. I think that the ESB Yoda is nearly perfect, or perfect enough. The only thing I think needs to be "cantina-ed" is when Luke is running with Yoda on his back and its obviously just a doll. Some movement, especially when he's talking about the dark side would be great.

I might watch ESB today if I have the time and make my own list...

I started watching ESB and I was going to take screenshots to make kind of like storyboards on what should be fixed. But I was afraid of missing something (I'm a completionist) so I went to find the nitpicks of ESB online.

Holy Moley.

There are hundreds. I decided to leave storyboarding to the professional.

That's an impressive list. Just goes to show how much you miss. I've never cuaght any of those mistakes, but now I'm probably gonna spot them the next time I watch ESB.

I agree about the Yoda puppet in ESB; in fact, of all the different versions throughout the saga, this one is still by far my favorite. I'm still amazed how expressive he is and how alive he seems. No wonder that Hamill sometimes forgot that Yoda was a puppet, lol. I wouldn't change him, except maybe that suggestion about when he is on Luke's back.

My favorite goof on that site was the arm of the wampa choking the Taun Taun. You can see where the glove ends and the crew member's arm begins. You can also see the top of his head at times. This could easily be fixed by moving the frame just slightly to the right. Why they didn't do that to begin with is beyond my capacity...

I saw the arm part, but where is the top of the head part?

The first couple frames after Luke gets knocked off you can see some lovely brown curly hair above the wampa arm, bouncing up and down.

The whole 'Solo and his jacket' thing in Empire really pissed me off. It's not a bloody jacket. It's just shadows. I don't care if it's been 'fixed' in the DVD, it wasn't wrong in the first place.
There's even behind the scenes footage showing Ford getting ready for his shot. No jacket there....just a load of fanboy moaning for the sake of moaning bullshit.

Ok...rant over!!!:)

Yeh, i know what you mean. It's clearly his shirt in the Behind the scenes footage and once they setup the lighting the shirt turns dark and is clearly not his jacket.

but what really baffles me is why lucasfilm decided to fix that for the DVD but didn't do some of the more glaring errors?

Hah, maybe Ady should just color the whole scene that way with Han's "jacket". Sure, 'tis a lot more work, but let me tell you Han looks a helluva lot cooler that way!

Dang it HotRod, I would have really freaked out too.

Of course, if he is serious, if he'll give me his copy of Premiere, I'll take over.
