Hmm, I guess I didn't think about that part. I suppose that is exactly why characters like James Bond and Jack Bauer are never put in any real danger either...
Like I said, not everyone has seen the OT, it would be nice if he at least had writen it with that in mind instead of with the constant idea of "well, they already know what is going to happen." New people are born everyday, as time goes on more and more people will see the saga in order and see the whole series without a single surprise. The whole "I am your father" and "Leia is my sister!" plot twist have been effectively neutralized for future viewers. With a little creativity the PT could have been excellent and still preserved the OT's twists.
