I hope it's Zelda. Unless they completely overhaul the design of recent Donkey Kong games, I don't think one of those will get gamers excited at all.

Besides, there's been no Zelda news since Phantom Hourglass came out, which makes it the first time since 2000 or 2001 when there's NOT been at least one Zelda announced.

(Majora's Mask came out in 2000, the Oracle games in 2001; Wind Waker was announced that year, and Four Sword Adventure and Minish Cap were already in the works by the time it came out, and Twilight Princess was announced in 2004 at E3, with Phantom Hourglass starting well before it came out.)

I hope it's a game that uses the Wiimote in a truly unique way.

It makes sense, since Twilight was essentially a GC game with Wii controls tacked on. I can see Miyamoto working on a pure Wii version simultaneously. It's either that or Wii Sports II, which someone brought up on another board.

I agree with TipTup though. I'd like to see a better "melding" of form/function on the Wiimote. Though how that could be done is anyone's guess.

Sadly, I got away from Wind Waker for quite a while and have only returned to it in the last week or so. After that I'll play OoT and hopefully MM will be on the VC.

Nothing against Wii Sports, but I would hope that a game like that wouldn't be their "big announcement" at E3.

That reminds me, I need to go back and finish WW at some point. I got up to just before the very end and kinda forgot about it. About 8 months ago. It's my 2nd time through the game though so it's not like I just gave up on the game.

I just bought the Metal Gear Solid Essential Collection a few days ago, it is one impressive set for the price. I highly recommend it for anyone with a PS2 or a backwards compatible PS3, if you have never played them before but have the tiny bit of interest in them, or if you own one or two of them but not all three, or if you own just the initial releases of Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater, at thirty bucks this thing is completely worth it. Even MGS2 Substance alone sells for close to $30 for a used copy.

I owned MGS for my PC and I picked up a used copy of Son of Liberty last year, but it was worth buying them again for the matching packaging and Substance & Subsistence. Only things that makes this set less than perfect IMHO is the lack of the second disc for MGS3: Subsistance and the fact that the manuals are printed in black and white (which makes the pictures almost impossible to make out).

IGN certianly goes all out for their April Fools jokes don't they?

This confirms to me my feelings that a Zelda movie would be a bad idea. Also I think Link's goofy hat just doesn't translate well to real life. If a real attempt at a LoZ film were ever made, I would be a huge advocate of ditching the hat all together.

That actually made me ill when I saw it. I couldn't even watch it all the way through. My friend then told me that it was an April fools joke. I was relieved of my horror.

That was the best April Fool's Day prank ever. Yes, even better than EGM's Sonic in Melee or Lord of the Rings Go Kart Racing.

The World Ends With You is a great game I'm about 2/3rds of the way through it and it has renewed my faith that JRPGs are not just for Wapanese people. And check out Space Invaders Extreme coming out in a month or two it is also great and very fun and will make you enjoy Space Invaders again and if you have a cart where you can download games and play them on you DS Jump Ultimate Stars is the way to go if you like anime.

Anybody else playing Grand Theft Auto 4 yet? I'm really enjoying it so far, and I'd thought I was pretty much burnt out on the open-world style of gameplay.

Yeah, Same here. I wasn't expecting much from GTA4 but I'm enjoying it so far. I've got a few gripes like the vehicle handling...But I'm getting used to it.

It sounds easy enough, but I'm not into home brew and have no HomeBrew programs to run even if I wanted to.

Why not try it? I did it and most of the SNES games work fine I have trouble with NES and Genesis . I'll even rapidshare my the files from my SD so you won't have to do shit.

Eh, unless you know where I can find ROMs of Super Mario RPG and Earthbound, I'm not interested. And... if you do... don't post them on the thread or Jay could get in trouble and that would be trouble for us. :D

Yes I can tell you and I will make a setup so you can just put it on a SD card and go.

But first check the back of you Zelda CD around the ring which one on these does it say?

Ok I'm getting it ready want any other emulators? NES and Genesis available or perhaps some Wiiware games that aren't out in America yet?

No, thanks. The only reason I want those two is because Nintendo has adamantly refused for more than a year to put them on VCS despite how sought-after they are.
