what should i do? i'm new at writing avisynth scripts.

You probably just need to add converttorgb32 before you call badblue (or any other of my plugins). If Premier doesn't like the result, it may require a converttorgb24 or converttoyuy2 after the plugin call.

I export any frames that need to be repaired to TGA, or TGA sequence. Then I either encode to MJPEG to save space, or just reinsert the TGAs with AviSynth.

I doubt I'll do a DL version - the SL is fine quality for me, and it eliminates the layer change.

Darth Editous!

I just discovered your edit after discovering this board! After what seemed like an eternity of torrent time, I finally have it and it looks beautiful!

After being so disappointed in the release of the original, unmodified trilogy to DVD in 4x3 letterbox, your solution definitely rides to the rescue.

Thank you for what must have been hours of grueling, tedious work to restore what most of us here otherwise consider a masterpiece of film.

Hi guys - I'm new here.

I've only recently discovered this site and after years of dreaming of exactly th same thing - the Darth Editous edit sounds fantastic! However, I'm really struggling to find the PAL version of v3 though - it doesn't seem to be anywhere at the moment.

Is there anybody out there that has it that would be kind enough to burn me a copy on a dvd - of course I would supply the dvd and cover postage etc etc.

Many thanks

Is there anyone that could be so kind as to help me get a copy of this from somewhere? Please, please, PLEASE!!! :)

I had it, but deleted it once Adywan's revisited version was finished. So I guess I'm no help at all, am I?
I found the torrent at http://mininova.org but I don't see it there anymore.

Hi guys!

I've recently downloaded episode V of Darth Editous edit and am now seeding. I want to give back as much as I took, but I don't know how much that is. My ratio is 2.938. How long should I keep seeding?

episode V is not out yet. But if you mean IV< then good - help those out that need it. I could start a new torrent if needed though, as I have a DVD of it.

Unfortunately not (well not last time I checked anyway), hence we're asking for anyone that might have it.

Yep, I have the NTSC Version 3.0 as well. Great stuff! I am into trading, so if anyone would like to trade for a copy, let me know via PM. (doesn't have to be a trade, but if possible, I do like to compare lists)

I also have the ADigitalMan/Darth Editous Hybrid Edition, in SL and DL NTSC mode. It uses DE's footage, but has some extra ideas ADM liked incorporated into it.

That's nice of you, bkev. :) Too bad we can't get in contact with DE (I've tried!) to maybe get him to update the first post of this thread with the link you'll have soon. Of course, his edit is still listed at fanedit.org (here: http://fanedit.org/33/), so maybe someone could add the link there as well. It is available there via RS, but mininova will be a great option.

Posted!  It should be on the mininova within the hour; search under "Darth Editous NTSC ISO".

If anyone has trouble with my seeding PM me.

Dammit, I'm going over ANH, just quickly before I start brushing my v3, and I realise just how screwed the DVD release is.

So I'm going to start (more or less) over. Start the suggestion free-for-all!

Well, I'll carry over my suggestion from the ESB thread, then:

Basically, it's the ol' "In fact, I, uh...also thinking about our agreement" thing. The word 'was' should be in there, but I think the way they edited the scene cut it off either completely or to the point where there's so little of it left, it's buried.

I think all that would have to be done, much like how you inserted the "yeah" in the Falcon, would be to add an 's' sound in there. It doesn't even have to be 'was', just the end of it, so that it becomes sort of like 'zalso.'

So, what sort of specific problems are you seeing with v3?

Things like colour correction (though I'm not going to be as technically aggressive as Adywan), lasers that need repainting, all that stuff. Plus I want to try and fix some of the things that were too hard the first time around, like getting rid of rontos (if anyone can point me to some high-quality caps of the OUT for those scenes, that'd be a big help).

For audio I may go back to the SE LD mix, which is "proper" AC3, not the downmix-friendly AC3 found on the DVDs.

Woah, DE is back!

*brain explodes*

I thought your version was pretty good.  I really wouldn't change much.  If you are starting over, any chance you will be working with 1080 or 720?
