Sorry Ady, bad news.
Exactly the same problems with this one as with the original.
Same hitches at the *logo* screen, same timer freeze at 2:13 and same picture freeze when scene shifts to reverse view.
Skipping chapter lets it play again for a few seconds (minute or two) and then freezes again.
Plays perfectly on standard DVD, but my HD-DVD won;t do it. (Toshiba HD-EP30KB)
Sorry.

Has anyone had a chance to test the new NTSC version on their HD-DVD players yet? I have my fingers crossed that the new encode works. Also is the new audio mix better than the other version now i have lowered the left & right channels or have i lowered it too much & does it need to be more in between the 2 versions?

Well i guess we can definitely say that its the Toshiba HD-DVDs that have a major problem. you said that the PAL worked fine though didn't you? This would rule out any authoring and encoding problems. And it plays fine in 1080i on the Ventura HD-DVD player so it does seem limited to Toshiba too. does anyone know anyone with a different make of HD-DVD they could try it on?
I guess you NTSC Toshiba HD-DVD owners are out of luck even for the DVD-9 NTSC. Now don't you wish you went with Bluray?
