UCLA vs. Stanford

I was there.

We trailed at least a steady 10 points throughout the whole game, then BAM! 3 minutes, only 2 points down. Then 4, then 5, then 7. BUT! They fouled us enough that we got freethrows - In the end, Darren Collison got us the points we needed to tie at 65. THEN, LAST FIVE MINUTES... We hustled, BIG TIME. 77-67, final score.

You know, I've always wondered why those college students love the game so much - and now, I know. I know why they jump every second of the game... why they cheer like we've just won every time there's a basket... and finally, why they always put their hands up like they're the ones making that freethrow that could win the game. Because, you know what? It's fun to get into the game.

Maybe this was more a local thing, but I felt I had to share it.

Just noticed this. I was at home watching it. I had HUGE physics test the next day, but after weighing my options, like any true man, decided this game was more important than studying. Then it went into overtime, and part of me died cuz there was even less time for studying. Anyways, I had no allegiance to either team really, but K-Love is right from around me, so I wanted him to do well. Man I remember watching him in high school. But, it was a great game for both teams, and they both played hard. Again, I had no real care who won, but all I can say is that Standford got JUKED, 100% screwed on that last "foul" on Collison. As an outside observer with no allegiances, I can say that was quite possibly the cleanest block I have seen in my life, and I watched the replay a solid 7 times. But thats what happens, best of luck to both of them in the tourny, and hope the Pac-10 represents well.

May the Force be with you.
