That definitely won't be happening this year. i need a good long break and plan out exactly what i will be doing to the edit and how things will be done. If i started it when the DVD-9's are finished i would just burn myself out. As it stands at the moment i won't want to see another star wars films for months after ANHR is done with. Over 2 years of constantly seeing and hearing Star Wars is enough for even the most hardened fan.
Also can we stop all the bickering now. the thread is getting too clogged up with it.
I would also like some feedback on the audio just in case i need to tweak anything for the DVD-9's

I have a request about the audio, adywan!
If I'm not mistaken, in the original version, the slow sad (sorry I don't recall the name of the theme from the soundtrack) music starts up just as Obi-Wan is smiling and closing his eyes to make his "noble sacrifice" before Vader cuts him down (up to this point, no music).
In your version, the Episode III music is coming to a crescendo and then you had the extra slow drop of the cloak and so forth as that music kicks in. It's a little too abrupt for me because then you get Luke's "NOOO!" and then the dramatic music swells up.
For me I think it was much more effective when the sad music starts to play before the killing stroke because you know what's about to happen (which is why Vader's death stroke is in slow motion), rather than .. oh he died, he's disappearing, okay now get sad.
Anyway, you may disagree, since obviously that was your deliberate creative decision (no joke this time), but I'd encourage you to put the sad music in sooner to make the scene even better.
PS: This isn't an audio change, but I really miss the brief shot of Tarkin brooding right before the Death Star explosion is shown. If there were some way to splice that frame back in, that'd be awesome.
I also noticed that in the (1997 CGI) shot of Luke's X-wing flipping in front of the camera as the TIE chases it (as he's saying "I can't shake him!") you didn't fix the "Red 5" markings on the wings of his craft (though you did in another shot, which was cool.... all the CG added X-wings had just two hatch marks on the wings, for Red 2).
Anyway, I realize you want to hurry up and move on so you can take a break and rest up for ESBR, but I just wanted to make those suggestions. The music thing is probably the least amount of work to tweak, and that'd be awesome if you could fix that!
