I checked my DVD and it worked perfectly. If I find any glitches, I'll be sure to report it.

Dark Jedi stop being so rude, im more than happy to make an xvid, that was my intention and why i reposted the question. However it makes sense to remove the old one first, something I cant cause i didnt upload it. Doesnt make sense to have lots of different versions out there. There isnt huge differences betwwn the dvd and xvid but the "flipper" scene is one cotroversial difference that would unecessarily get people bitching. reign your anger in, stop living up to your monikerhsehe.

the thing is and you can say I am rude all you want, all I was doing is making a statement, read it again.

but read the last few pages here, and alot of it is people asking for this, asking for that, and NOT doing a thing.

and who cares if there is more than 1 version, people may still want the other as well, just label yours different, that's all.

hell spread the love!

Ady,

As good as the DVD-5 looks, I can't even fathom how much better the DVD-9 will be. You've really outdone yourself in regards to picture quality on this edit and the DVD-9 should be a really treat for HT buffs like myself.

there are some demanding people on here, whats the point in you matching that be being rude to people?

Ok, finially made my copy of this and sat down to check it out. There was one instant where the sound went out during the 20th century fox fan fare, and the video paused for a brief second where R2 and 3PO are lost in the desert. This is due to either my dvd burner or my dvd player and I use a old Denon 2800 which is prone to such artifacts. BTW, there were some parts where the music was just over bearing. A good example is where Luke is watching the binary sunset. I had to turn my system down it was so loud. Did anyone else have to do this also?

Anyway, I really enjoyed the whole thing ADY, keep up the fantastic work!!

That opening was really cool. I like the there is a slightly different version of the same opening for the Remastered Deluxe Edition, the subtle changes are pretty funny.

The binary sunset was boosted, but only slightly, because one thing i always remember about that scene was seeing it at the cinema in 1977 & 1978 then again on the re-release in the 80's. That scene was so powerful and loud at the cinema but when the video releases came out and again on the DVD the music seems dumbed down a lot. It was one scene that really had an impact on me and i wanted this back. most of the rest of the music is the same level as the DVD. what parts in particular is the music too loud?

As for newsgroups, I do know how to use them, I just don't like them.

? What exactly don't you like about them? I have never heard that phrase in connection with the Usenet. Reminds me of when I was a kid and didn't know how to play poker. Guys would say, "Hey, let's go play poker!" and I'd reply "Nah, I don't really like poker very much. You go on ahead without me." Or is there really something about usenet that just sticks in your craw.

I've got a question for the torrent experts. I'm using BT and under the "Logger" tab it's showing this...

*** STAR_WARS_REVISITED_NTSC_DVD_5.ISO: PIECE 563 FAILED HASH CHECK

What does that mean?

I do not fear the Dark Side as you do.

If it only appears once, it should be OK, as when a piece fails checksum the client attempts to redownload it.

If it keeps appearing...

3P0 has always had one silver leg in ANH. I guess because of the horrible colours of the 2004 DVD's that fact seems to have been lost because you are not the only one to have commented on that. One guy actually said that he was a huge star wars fan and that i needed to learn how to do colour correction correctly because i have screwed the colour of 3PO's leg and made it look silver.

thanks for the heads up Ady! it was such an obvious 'mistake' i was pretty sure that it was something you knew about already or was originally broken.

You know, at that "star wars behind the magic" exhibit, they had c3po with a gold leg. >_> I call blasphemy (on them of course)!

Now ILM has an excuse...they were trying to fix 3POs leg to be golden...so they made all the stormtroopers blue to hide their real plan...

Color screwups plague Cinderella too, which was restored by...you guessed it...Lowry Digital...

At least Lowry didn't screw up the Indiana Jones flicks.........as far as I know.

Give them time. I'm sure we'll see Indy running around in a bright Lavender pimp fedora one day.

Seems like the music is a little loud during some moments of the space battles. Made the dialog a little dificult to make out especially with all the sound FX going on. Of course this is just my opinion as the next person might find it perfectly acceptable.

There seems to be a problem with parts 30 and 32 of the properPAL DVD. When I try to extract them Winrar pops an error message saying "unexpected end of file". The fact is those 2 files are 49,9Mb whereas al the others are 50Mb. I tried to download them again : same result.

Anyone else has the same issue?

It's funny, I always took that to be on purpose. I always thought of it as, he's been through so much that he's been rebuilt quite a few times and at some point, there wasn't a gold leg available so silver had to do...
