I cold bloodedly killed a turkey a couple of months ago. I beheaded the sucker and then cut the ends of its wings off. Does this put me in an ill state of mind with the need for mental help? Just curious. I have no regrets about it either. That turkey tasted pretty good, I am sure it wont be the last one I kill.

Okay, I agree that it is quite a bit different than killing a dog just for kicks. The video does display animal cruelty and as is proven by many FF threads, some people are in positions where the expectations are much greater than others. When a few Marines do something dumb like this, it reflects badly on the whole.

I agree with tiptup, the worse part of this is how it reflects on the Marine Corps., not that the puppy tragically died. Sorry it had to feel pain, but off a cliff like that, I promise by the end of the video it was dead. It was put out of its misery pretty quick. An extremely short time ago in Kenya people were having their heads hacked off with macheties. In many parts of Africa kids are dying because their local water supply is contaminated. There are some pretty tragic things going on in the world today. That Marine and the guys with him were complete asses, but it is kind of silly to condemn him as if he had commited war crimes. Especially if you consider that for the price of your HD-TV, or whatever other expensive non essentials you spend your money on, you could have gone a long way in drilling a new well in Africa and providing a lot of people with clean water. Perhaps I myself should be guilty of commiting mass murder for being so wasteful and taking so many things for granted, while people are dying everyday from things that are very preventable. Kind of off on a tangent there, just mean to reflect on what Tiptup said about there being bigger issues than one more dead puppy in a world where even animal lovers put thousands of puppies to death every year.
