Hey all,

I am using Rapidshare to complete my RARs.

I am also downloading and seeding the NTSC torrent. I have cranked my upload rate to the maximum 121 Mb/s. I will leave my comp on for all those torrenters!

I have no problems either Ady,I have watched on my PC,my OPPO upconvert DVD player and my PS3,ALL play fine,great job!

those rars on rapidshare are different than the ones posted on the newsgroups,I seriously doubt that is going to work for you LOL

oops sorry I forgot to mention,it was the NTSC,I will test the PAL version now if needed,but I see no problem at all,you did a fine job,I think people are just not burning correctly,or using crap media,or burning to fast or to slow,or did not use quikpar to make certain they have good rars.

Ady,

I used the infamous DVDdecrypter to burn the ISO file to DVD....But I am using PowerDVD to watch it.

I can get Nero from my friend. Do you think that would be a better program?

I tried it my way twice to no avail. Both times freezing.

burn the iso file with the latest Imgburn,it is not rocket science guys,and burn in at either 4x or 6x speed,I have read that people say burn at 1x,well that is just crazy,it is just as bad to burn to slow as it is to fast.

I figured I'd download the NTSC DVD with my friend's hosted server.

Got it set to a upload cap of 2 megabytes per second.

1) Seen it on piratebay.org and mininova but for the life of me cant see anything that says whether its the NTSC or PAL version ?

2) Also guys 1 seeder ! come on . I will seed for atleast 2 weeks. If you are worried about your isp just use a service like relakks.com

3) Indcidently when we talk NTSC / PAL version Im assuming we are talking the lines on screen not the actual region coding? As I would have thought this would be set to region 0. What Im basically saying is as most UK tv's can show ntsc signals it doesnt really matter which version we downlaod if its coded region 0 ?

Ifthere is no region code then why worry ? Most PAL setss can play NTSC just as well nowadays.

I will definately seed. Right now it stands at 1 seed and 48 peers

No, i use dvddecrypter all the time without any errors. but i did have one version that caused a lot of problems with playback. which version are you using?

also did you try what i suggested and mount the image and try playing it from that?

The one at Mininova is the NTSC one, don't see the PAL disc. Don't see the seed but i'm sure it's there. Everyone is averaging at 5.1% The file bieng uploaded is only an ISO. Was any disc art uploaded with it or is it just the ISO? Just curious.

Just reporting on the HD situation.

PAL version, NG downloaded and par set repaired.
ISO burned directly in Nero Burning Rom.
Ridisc x8 media, burned at x4.

Played back at 1080i on a Toshiba HD-EP30KB


Menu screen transition is a little slow.
As is going from menu to PLAY-ing the film.

The film itself is playing away a treat as I write.
(Well past the 2m odds mark everyone else is having problems at, also past the first chapter break)

Chapter skipping also does no harm, way past The Cantina Band. Han just shot first! ;' )

In short. No problems here at all.
I may D/L the NTSC version and check that out.

While I'm here...
Cool to see the menus altered after my little post... Did you see the one about the small mistakes in the trivia track?
