Your English is fine....

a.b.starwars and alt.binaries.starwars are one in the same.

It sounds like you should be able to get it at the same time as the rest of us.

Just so everyone Knows which versions to download:

PAL: STAR.WARS.EP.4.REVISITED.**REAL.PROPER**ADYWAN.[05/87]

NTSC: STAR.WARS.EP.4.REVISITED.NTSC.DVD-5.ADYWAN.[02/87]

The PAL version is only one that could be confusing since there are three different titles out there....

1st one without any proper....
2nd *PAL DVD-5 **PROPER**
3rd **REAL.PROPER**

Looks like they are both going and are starting to post on the different readers. By the end of the day the world will have REVISITED.......again!!!!!

That is the group you need.

some people call it a.b.starwars as a shortcut or nickname. That is what I was trying to point out to you in my previous reply.

You will be able to get it just like the rest of us. 8)

This edit is pervading my dreams now...

Last night I dreamed of logging on here and checking out a bunch of different covers for the edit. One was disturbing: it was a wraparound cover with Luke on one side and Leia on the other almost looking longingly at each other. The one Adywan created was pretty neat with a watercolor appearance to it having a full sized Vader painted in a wispy blueish in the background and Luke with an ignited saber in the foreground. Since the DVD upload problem yesterday, of course the covers were in the wrong area: back on front, front on back.

Come to think of it, maybe I should get cracking on that design.

Because there were a few fixes that needed to be done to the PAL, it seems that gave him enough time to do the NTSC encode, so it is going up at the same time. About 1/4 of it is already up at a.b.starwars.

the last files i can acced are from march 26 ("droids complete series"). it is normal?

i'm very confused with news... if someone could upload to rapidshare... or a torrent

I'm just as excited as you to get Revisted, but I figure if I have to wait 2 or 3 days for it to show up on torrents or preferably on Rapidshare it is well worth the wait.

It's always fun to watch these boards around a new release

Another couple of text glitches...

On your trivia subtitle track:

1:22:23 reads "Fixed audio error as they run away that WOUNDED like someone spitting"
(I assume this should be "sounded")

1:40:06 reads "...because there IS just too many to list..."
(Should be "...ARE just too many...")


A touch pedantic, I know, I know.... ;' )

So, finally able to watch the DVD version (got into the film using the trivia track option which just started it)
Blown away... absolutely blown away....

(Do pointing out these small chapter and trivia track problems get a "Joe (Covenant) Lamb" listing in the 'Nym' listings at the end !?!?!)

It depends on your usenet hosting service. You may want to refresh your headers so that you're getting the latest posts.

newsgroups can be a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's actually pretty easy.

He's not talking about a torrent, its a binary file posted in the a.b.starwars group on usenet. Torrents are a completely different subject altogether.

For the first one around a month or so ago I got the torrent downloaded after Molly posted it was on I believe, when will this new NTSC torrent be on the same way?

What newsreader and usenet carrier are you using? Usenet Server has a 3 day plan for $3.00(US) that is pretty good. Also I recommend using alt.binz for the binary grab. It is easy to set up and will decode, PAR repair, and unrar multipart binaries from the USENET. It's free.
Remember the 1st rule of USENET.
1. We don't talk about USENET

(of course I just broke the rule)

I have found the files and have made a report in Newzbin for both the PAL version and the NTSC version. I deleted the last 2 reports I made due to the flubs.

Thanks C3PX for the help, it was most needed. I guess I'm not the only one having tech issues with the current release.

I'm sorry for being a newbie here at this forum, I usually hang out over at the Toonzone.new forum.

Anyway hopefully, the true Final Cut will be ready soon for download.

Seeing as its being released on newsgroups first, I wouldn't expect to see a torrent for an hour or two.

Well it'll be longer than that... if it's taken six hours for ady to upload 1/4 of it so far, we've got another 15 hours to go for the newsgroup uploading... (since it sounds like it took about 12 hours for him to upload the broken version, just double that, since he's putting up both ntsc & fixed-pal).


Then someone actually needs to download the whole thing, and as long as it takes them to put up a torrent and start seeding it. It'll be slow at first with only a few people seeding, and then as word gets around and people start noticing and downloading, and then as people start to finish and seed (instead of leeching, ie: logging off after it's finished), then it'll become available to the rest of us.

So I'm guessing sometime tomorrow evening it'll be available, and then I'll start downloading, and I'll be able to watch it sometime on Tuesday.

Yencpowerpost is reporting reporting 21 hours left to upload, but thats because both versions are going up at once. So they will be both available within a hour or so of each other

Thanks for the correction!

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but it may not take a full 21 hours for torrents to come up, because people on the newsgroups can be downloading the pieces of it that you've already posted (rather than starting afresh when the whole thing is finally finished uploading). Plus you're on a slow connection too, right?

I see the nfo no longer mentions french and dutch subtitles... any info on that?
(I was kind of hoping to check the dutch subs for errors so they could be fixed before the dvd9)
