Glad to hear your troubles are likely at an end. That third memory card from the ebay guy might be good to have around as a spare. Hopefully your room mate's PS2 has claimed its last and final victim when it killed your other room mate's PS2 memory card. Might want to rig up something to render the port unusable, just to be on the safe side.
