I don't know who provides your Usenet access - however I had the same problem going through my ISP's (Virgin Media) newsgroup access. But on checking through Astraweb - who I also use (pre-pay) and the files are there. It doesn't show up on Virgin Media because Ady posted to a.b.dvdr, and crossposted to a.b.starwars. Since the free service offered by VM doesn't carry the high traffic groups (a.b.dvdr being one of them) the posts were dropped.

@Ady: as a VirginMedia customer myself, I'd be grateful if, when you post the DVD9, you put a.b.starwars first in the group list.


How do i do that? i use yencpowerpost to upload to usenet and you can only select the groups you want to post it to and it orders them alphabetically. is there another program that i can use that i can set the group order manually?

Man, I think I'm still the only bastard who hasn't seen this edit yet

Because of my kids (always playing with my pc) and the missus (always turning off my pc) I am so relying on a pif...if that's still going ahead!?!?

vbangle has just made me aware of a huge problem with the DVD. I've posted the wrong version. There are some problems with the version posted that causes the movie not to play when you go through the main menu and some of the subtitles are messed up. This was fixed last night but i stupidly posted the faulty version. I'm going to try and see if i can make a ppfomatic fix . if not then i will have to repost the whole thing. please do not post this version anywhere until i can see if i can do a fix.

I really feel like shooting myself because of this.

although the 3D software i was enquiring about was the stuff used to make the jabba scene into stereoscopic 3D

The DVD looks completely awesome. I got to tell ya Adywan, I liked the motion menu clip of the tie fighter swarm in front of the death star......very cool....I wish that was in the movie...sorry couldn't help myself.

Don't worry about it Adywan. If anything now we know that Adywan is human after all and not the SW Editing God that we thought you were......

No worries Adywan, we can't thank you enough for your work. I saw the ESB trailer on the DVD and you improved over the Emperor hologram even more than the first trailer you posted, it looks amazing!! It looks just like ROTJ emperor, you are a magician, I am really excited for ESB Revisited now!!

For those who haven't seen anything yet, Ady's interactive menus do look beautiful.

The trivia track is great! Some of the things that were pointed out, I missed even after watching the xvid over 20 times. That really goes to show how subtle the changes are that Ady did. It just blends in so well.

Eventhough I am in the USA, I had to download the PAL version because I couldn't wait. And I am not disappointed Ady. I consider it to be a teaser for the fixed version. It was worth the download!!

My 15 month daughter could not turn her head away all the while I had it running. So you have us all hooked.

Ady, you seem to have not figured out how this whole things works yet. You ought to learn from the pros. When something like this goes wrong, you simply say that it was a deliberate creative decision and that the movie is not suppose to play right, the menu and the subtitles are suppose to be messed up. This way you don't have to admit your mistake and go through the time and cost of a recall.

Don't worry about it man, like I said above, even the professionals make these kinds of mistakes. We shall eagerly and patiently await the reuploaded version. Please do not shoot yourself.

lol, I am glad I am not the only one, BTW the new "hand" looks great, the fixed tie scene does also, the xvid looked good but this thing looks 10 times better, I am really amazed by it. I can't wait for the NTSC DVD9!!
