You aren't the first to request that. I'm may do that afterall. I'm sorry it's not working well enough.

I'm not familiar with rapidshare. Do the files stay on there for a long time? If not, I could simply break up the discs into smaller chunks and just upload them to my ftp

I don't mean to complain of course, I'm grateful that you've spent your time uploading these to share. More manageable chunks would be great (ie. Disc 1 - Part 1, Part 2, etc). If Rapidshare came across the material I'm sure they'd take it down (as they've done to countless many of my favorite score blogs). So, perhaps smaller chunks on your FTP would be best?

I just want to give the set a listen.

I'm downloading the files now. GoodMusician, thanks for working on this. It must have taken a ton of time and effort to put together such an exhaustive set of as much of the music from Episode II as you could find at the best quality available for each song.

GoodMusician, you said you wanted to hear some feedback on the music, so here goes. I've only had time to listen to a few songs so far, and it sounds great, the only exception being the tracks that have the dialog echo in them.

For example, "Security Council" with those voice echoes in the background sounds terrible, I mean just having those voices intrude upon the very nice sounding Star Wars music is such a shame. I realize this is not your fault at all, I assume so far no pure score source has been found for this music from Attack of the Clones that doesn't have that voice echo in it. So until there is such a source found, we're stuck with it in that part of the music. But the quality on everything is very nice indeed!

I have to say, I really love Episode II's score. Now that I can listen to more of it, my appreciation for it has grown.

Does anyone know who wrote the source music for Dex's diner? Was it John Williams, or was it Joseph Williams/someone else?

I've been listening to more of the music. You did a great job reducing that voice echo that exists in some songs. On some tracks like "Audience on Naboo" it's amazing how much you were able to keep the voice echo very faint in the background while letting the music come through clearly! I guess in some songs it was harder to keep it faintly in the background than on others. It's really nice to get to hear so much music from Attack of the Clones. Very nice work, GoodMusician!

hehe... Glad you like it.I did my best to limit the echo.

As far as the source cues, they were written by Joseph Williams. Lapti Nek was written by him, Yub Nub, The source cues from Episode II, the two variants of the Dex's Diner music... and I think that's it... although I'm not sure who did the source for the Opera house in Episode III. My guess is Joseph Williams, John Williams son.

Who, btw, is the singing voice for the adult Simba in The Lion King strangely enough... even though Mathew Brodrick is quite the accomplished singer lol...

Ok...so I goofed... I knew that "The Droids Confer" was a tracked cue... but I simply COULD NOT find it...

and I just did... kick me...hit me...whatever lol...

I'm going to upload the single track in a bit to replace the one that is in the edit.

I'm digging this. I've gotten to the finale cue so far.

I love how this was all taking me back to Episode II until the Battle for Geonosis cues took me back to Episode I for some strange reason. Hmmmmm....

Anyway, great work, GM. You've done a man's job, sir. Can't wait to get to the goodies on Disc 3.

GoodMusician: How does this other version of "The Droids Confer" differ from the one already in the set? Also, could you please indicate in your updated full track list which songs have voice echo and which ones have some sound effects in them? Thanks!

The Star Wars trilogy. There can be only one.

Author

it differes in that it's just music. As I said, it was tracked... so I have the "clean" track.

As for what ones have vocal echo, I would but it would get confusing as sometimes only mere moments have them

Ah, I see. Yeah, it's good to have just the music. Although on some tracks like "Jedi Archives", it's actually kind of interesting to have the greatly reduced echo there. As it makes it sound as though you are in the Jedi archives, perhaps taking a rest after recently returning from a mission, and sitting there reading some interesting book on the history of the Jedi Order and you can hear other Jedi talking quietly with one another around you about various topics. It lends a sense of the atmosphere and ambiance of the location to the music.

Hey all,

just wanted to let you know that a good friend of mine is working on getting some GREAT cover art for my sets done.

Right now, the sets aren't yet reuploaded but they soon will be.

I also wanted to say that the missing link, Episode IV should be completed in a day or so.

Why, you might ask, did I decide to do that one?

The answer is simple: the score is a classic and it deserves a better release. The score as heard on the SE is a bit flat and dry.

I rebirthed the score and also collected all the alternate takes that leaked out over the years by accident through the Anthology or the Album edits.

I'm also including concert suites, the radio drama music, etc.

A track list is coming soon.

Also, if anyone is interested, I'm working on another complete edit... SpaceCamp. It's a great Williams score and has some cute moments and kinda rides on the heels of Star Wars a few times with characters quoting it lol...

But anyways, it's one of my favourite scores and that'll be up soon too so keep an eye out.

I hope you'll include the Star Wars Moog music I unearthed over the summer. One day that will see a proper release in the digital age. One day.

GoodMusician,

I'm excited that you're doing Episode IV. Thanks!

What about the Star Wars Mego songs (just the ones that relate to IV)? I think they may have been included in one of your past score edits (ESB or ROTS maybe?), but I'm not sure where they're living now.

You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

You should also put a copy of Bill Murray singing Star Wars on SNL. There's some stuff here.

Like a lot of SW music collectors, I know I have the Meco tracks from multiple collections. Unless a track is really unique, maybe less is more.

Oh, and you MUST include "Life Day" and "One More For The Road" from the Holiday Special. What an unintentional send-up of the Main Title and the Cantina Band #1.

Check PM.

dear lord lol...

Ok... I'm gonna say this..

The sets done...

hehe...Thank you for the great responces... but I can't put all that on the set. NO one will download it.

What I WILL do is create A "Star Wars: Odds and Ends" cd of all this stuff... but I think the track list I have now is closed.

I know NOTHING about all this MOOG stuff past what people have sent me lol...so if there are things past what I included, they'll go on the other disc... not in this set.

Sorry to close it but seriously, if we think about it, there is a LOTof stuff I could put on it... but how much of it is truly worthy of it?

All I'm trying to do is present the score.... and then some good concert arrangements... and that's really the only intent of this.

If I wanted a set that showed the historical impact musically the score had... I could go on and on forever about it!... so I think I'll stop it right here...

If you have any suggestions further, if they sound like they'd belong on the set, say so... otherwise, say they'd belong as an Odds and Ends stuff because some of this stuff is great... but we seriously could turn this into a 6 disc set veeeery fast.... and it woudln't be that listenable. You'd skip half the tracks and only listen to one.

So... thanks for the great responce though lol

Hi there GoodMusician!

I've just downloaded your version of the Episode II soundtrack and just want to say a HUGE thank you for the amount of time and love you have put into this! Seems these days the fans put alot more care into their releases than the official powers that be!

I disliked the prequals with a passion, but am a life-long fan of John Williams' music so being able to hear the complete score to Episode II is awsome!

Thank you again - off to listen to this on my iPod now

Look forward to your other releases!
