I think that is the biggest problem with the being a fan of Star Wars is that culturally, you are not allowed to be just a fan of the movies, you have to be a die-hard, Jar-Jar loving, living in your mom's basement, Lucas-worshipping synchophant. It has evolved into being a lifestyle, a defined social strata. That is the thing that gives me the biggest headache, and especially lately with the wife. A stack of bootlegs and a box of action figures does not an uber-fan make. The SW universe is a fun place to visit, but I don't live there.
