Went to see TPM with a friend my same age (29 in '99) who had seen it once before. On purpose, he didn't tell me anything of what he thought about it. When the SW logo and crawl came up I was stoked! When I was reading the crawl I was thinking "WTF? This doesn't make any sense". I remember being so blown away at how truly awful and clueless GL had become and was insulted as a child of the 70's growing up on Star Wars. Little did I realize that that was only really the first salvo of insults headed my way....

OK thats just weird. That's almost exactly the same way I saw TPM, I was 31 in '99, saw it with a buddy, thought it sucked, wanted to talk about it during the movie, felt insulted, didn't know more crap was on its way.....
Oh wait there was one difference...on the way out of the theater, I told the 300' line of SW hopefuls that was waiting outside that the movie sucked and to save their money....I remember running for my car....
