I'm just not getting all of this dual-layer fear - the drives are affordable (and easily fitted, as already discussed), the blanks, while not as dirt-cheap as SL discs, are also affordable.
The best DL burning tool (ImgBurn) is completely free.

It's got to be worth putting in a little bit of effort so you can share and enjoy a project like this in its best possible presentation, hasn't it?

Downloading 9GB, on the other hand, now there's something to worry about
