Thought you might get a kick out of this cake. That was over eight years ago...

That's awesome!

I actually had Han and Leia on my wedding cake. I'll post a picture if I can find one later.

For one of my birthdays when I was a kid, I had a Darth Vader cake. It was made out a cake pan exactly like the one shown in the bottom of this link of a list of crappy Star Wars collectables.

It was pretty cool actually. The cake came out with great detail. It was a chocolate cake and it looked great, but that was before the icing had been applied... the problem was my mom was not skilled at applying fancy frosting patterns as instructed on the paper that came with the cake pan, so when the icing was spread over it the detail is buried and now you just have a cake somewhat in the shape of Vaders helmet. The frostings default color was white (powdered sugar based) and food coloring was added to make it dark. How do you make black frosting? By mixing all the colors together... erm... maybe not. The frosting came out a dark moss green color... so I had a cake with moss green frosting that was somewhat shaped like Vader helmet, but you wouldn't have caught on had you not been told. Needless to say, it wasn't the hippest birthday party to begin with, and the cake certianly didn't help things out any. But none of that mattered because I got this awesome toy Rancor with a little button in the back that made his mouth open and close. That Rancor was destined to become one of my favorite SW toys ever, right next to my Death Star playset, my AT-AT walker, and of course my Millenium Falcon. Heh, I just remembered that my toy Rancor once accidentally swallowed one of my Jawa figures, I had a really hard time getting him back out too.

My wife picked out the cake. The figures were literally grabbed off my display shelf about 30 mins before this photo. In all the rush and excitement of the day, I had forgotten to grab them. Luckily, one of my friends was able to go to my house, grab the figures, and bring them to the reception.

The action figures and playing the end celebration song from ANH were the only two things I told my wife I wanted to do (along with a lightsaber entrance). She picked everything else (photo place, reception hall, food).

At our wedding, The Throne Room/End Titles kicked in after the pastor "introduced" us, and played throughout the recessional. That was the extent of SW's presence at our wedding.
