Hello there,

I came across this site while scrounging around the web.
First of all these Fan Documentaries are amazing.
I don't know what you do in real life but you have a career ahead of you as a film archivist.
Now that Blu-Ray has won the HD war we will see loads of old films being re-re-released onto this format with tons of
space for all manner of film history. If I were you I would burn off a load of these docos and tout yourself around the film
companies. If this is what you can do as an amateur, imagine what you could do with full backing!

Now that the fawning is out of the way, to matters at hand.
In RTJ it is mentioned that Jabba alluded to a history of having killed Jedi.
I have an old Return of the Jedi annual, like this:

in it Jabba has a great line that I was sorry wasn't in the film:
"Your Jedi mind tricks won't work on me boy! I was killing your kind back when being a Jedi meant something."
Missed opportunity there George.

Also were there any slight differences with say the original 70mm print of ROTJ and subsequent releases?
I could swear blind the exchange between Lando and Wedge went like this as they come in on the reactor:
"t-targets too big. My proton torpedoes won't even dent that!"
"Go for the power regulator on the north side. We're carrying concussion missiles. They should be enough
to take out the main reactor"
"roger etc..."

I saw it when in first came out in cinemas in Canada summer '83. Anybody else remember that or am I the victim of a self
induced Jedi mind trick? concussion missiles would later make appearances in the various Lucasarts video games. X-wing for a start.

A few years back I bought a ton of fan dvds off a guy on ebay. 11 SW DVDs alone. Alas they are all back home at my parents overseas. Considering the fandom on here tho i doubt there is anything you don't have. I also have the Time magazine ROTJ issue

Here is something to make you laugh, or cry. Another couple of years back I bought a lovely SW Executor tin box set. I had it
shipped to my sister's work address as the seller would not ship it overseas. Fans will know that there is still stuff on the bonus vid that has not scene official release elsewhere. When last passing through I asked her where was it. "oh, I was hoping you forgot about that" ?!?!? Turns out she left it in work for safe keeping, in the IT dept, then forgot about it. When she finally remembered it it was of course nicked. ARRRGGGHH!! What made her think that the IT geeks wouldn't be interested in it?
I keep reminding her that she still owes me one!

Finally anyone know how I can get hold of a copy of Building Empire? I've scowered the torrents but the seeds are all dead. I have managed to get RTJ. I got the flash vids off youtube but I guess I'm missing the extras not to mention the quality. PAL or NTSC, doesn't mater.

keep up the excellent work. The Force is strong in this one!

Mac
