That would be interesting for sure, but I have no reason to believe it isn't true.

Edit: As someone pointed out on another site, the Make-A-Wish site doesn't list LFL, Gen Con, GL, or Peter Adkinson (head of Gen Con). So it is likely Make-A-Wish never received the promised donation.
