One thing that i forgot to mention is that both DVD-5 & DVD-9 versions will feature a sneak peak trailer for....
"The Empire Strikes Back - Revisited" which will feature a couple of concepts that i have already begun work on, including a first look at the new Emperor hologram.


Ady, you should work for the film industry. You definitely know how to keep everyone on their toes I cannot wait to see your ideas for the ESB!

That's one of my major pet peeves with ESB. TJDavis and I have tried a lot of different ideas in an attempt to fix it. I can't wait to see what you've done with it!

So when the DVD is available, do I download it the same way I dowloaded the XVID file? Then burn to a disc? What is the difference between DVD-9, and DVD-5? Thanks again......if someone will PM me ADYWAN's Paypal address, I would like to contribute to this as well. Peace!

Adywan's paypal info is on page 198 of this thread, and DVD-5 image fits on a single layer DVD where a DVD-9 image can be twice the size and fits on a dual layer disc.

I have just watched the perfect version of STAR WARS, well done, it really felt like being a kid again when i saw it the first time. I LOVED the dogfight and the overdub of "biggs biggs", and the duel was spectacular in the cargo bay.

Ofcourse I feel I have to say something but its in no way a criticism. I wouldnt change any of the video at all ! The only thing I thought was that the music could have been mixed differently in the "conference scene, if you notice in the other conference scenes they just have little interludes of music, in the sme way, by fadiing in and out that new anakin "theme" the same effect could have been achieved. With a ful track it just felt a little different and overcrowded from the other conference room scenes later on.

Havig said that this is now my perfect version of A NEW HOPE. There wasnt once where i felt irritated as I have for years at the little things, as they've all been fixed !

I will contribute also to the hard drive fund, in goold old UK pounds, as Im fromt eh UK

Have people made artwork for the actual DVD disc sticker yet ?

A final question, do we now have a complete list of all changes that will be on tthe DVD versions? I know here is a list on page 1 but im not sure if it encompasses all the changes ?

As far as the DVD is concerned, the structure is now 90% complete. There should be enough space on the DVD-5 to include some extra features which would mainly be the trailers . As soon as i can start rendering the mpeg files then i can easily replace the temp avi files and find out just how much can be squeezed onto it. The whole process should only take about a day or so to complete.

I've been following this edit since a few months ago and have finally decided to register to comment on your marvelous works! I think Vader should be flying his TIE Advanced to a normal Star Destroyer (Devastator maybe?) after he regains control.

PS: although it's not my native language I always watch Star Wars in english but out of curiosity : is there gonnna be any subtitles on the DVD?

Yes, spanish subtitles, translated by me . And english for the hearing impaired too, I think.

Ady, can you list for us again the differences between the DVD-5 and the Xvid (other than the obvious jump in quality)?
