First off I do love the series but I do feel they butchered it a bit for the DVD release - I'm not crazy about 'preservation' but I was a little annoyed to see some favourite scenes altered.

I feel like a noob in asking this question, but most of my Clone Wars exposure comes from the two DVD releases (my Internet access was feeble when they debuted, and our cable TV package remains similarly feeble).

I know that the individual episodes were concatenated, but I never dreamed that scenes were changed.

Is there a quick answer to the question of what was changed and why?
