I say cut the sequence of Vader arriving at the Executor altogether. But if not, at least remove Jerjerrod from the scene (but don't replace him with Piett- he is busy at the bridge where Vader walks up to him later on).

The only part of this new sequence that I think should be kept is the brief shot of Vader's shuttle flying towards the Executor. That's only one that (IMO) doesn't disrupt the pacing of the Falcon's escape from Cloud City.

Edit: ady, I agree with you that the music is near perfect in this movie, but I wanted to run anothr suggestion by you (and the other users here). In 1980, the Emperor's theme had yet to be writen. I think it would be great if a subtle, slow and sinister Emperor's theme (sort of like the one playing when they walk through the hangar bay in ROTJ) could be added to the Vader-Emperor conversation. I think that would make it more unsettling and tie it ROTJ.

What do you guys think?
