Well, somebody needs to get this and let me know if the deleted scenes are an improvement over the Criterion version. I shelled out enough for that one, so I want to be sure it's worth the upgrade.

And again this makes me angry about the format war. If there weren't a format war I'd be on HD and the upgrade would be a no-brainer.

that happens to my friends ps2 also. ALL of my burns play that way on his ps2 but are fine on every dvd player i've tried them on.

Problem is fan editing Blu-Ray is going to be quite unpleasant for awhile (assuming you can even rip a given disc to start with).

I sort of wish HD-DVD won, it would be easier to rip and work with.

I want to download your Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone EE. Where can I find it? Is there a torrent (I don't have a Rapidshare membership)?

no there is no torrent, and it is not released yet,but when it is,it will be rapidshare.

Rapidshare does have a free option. One just needs to be patient with the process. It makes great sense to bookmark or even set the page with all the RS links as a home page during the time you're getting all the parts. It may take a long time, but it is indeed free, and that's a comfort to many students especially.

I know, I downloaded something from Rapidshare, but it's annoying because you have to attend the download.

I quite agree, and I think "Superman Redeemed" is especially impressive. Looking forward to seeing his edit of Close Encounters someday.

A lot of people want me to take on Transformers. I'm not quite sure what I can do with it. It literally nauseated me by the third act. Michael Bay may not be the worst director in Hollywood, but I think he's the worst successful director. I honestly don't know what Spielberg sees in him.

Didn't nauseate me, but I did get this "ENOUGH, ALREADY!" feeling by the end of the last battle. I can only take so much mindless action (especially the over-the-top variety) before I'm just plain bored. Fortunately, it ended. I liked the movie, but when I hear my brother say 'that was the best movie ever,' I just kinda roll my eyes. It's nothing more than a flavor of the week thing to me. I did like it far more than I thought I would, though! I don't know how I'd edit it, other than shortening some sequences, I guess.
