Thanks, Moth3r. To me, those samples say, "Don't waste your time -- just buy the DVDs."
I figure it would be smarter to spend the time it would take to do a good job of downsampling HD to DVD at one's job, earning enough money to buy an Xbox 360 so one could watch the native 1080p version.
Unless...
Maybe it's possible to downconvert the 2004 DVDs to make a more detailed LD version!
(CED, anybody?)
