Heath Ledger dead at 28 — Page 2

Apparently Heath said in an interview:
"Joker is a psychopathic, mass-murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy...Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night. I couldn’t stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going."

It almost sounds as if the Joker killed him in a way.

If Malcolm McDowell was able to live with himself after "Clockwork Orange", I would think that Heath would have been able to cope with playing a comic book villain.

I'm surprised he could live with himself after playing Dr. Loomis, as much as he butchered the character.

Just the American memorial. God damn them. I never knew the true meaning of taking the lord's name in vain until I saw crap like this. After the "Star Wars is Satanic" people, I thought these people were just making sick jokes, I mean it's just so far-fetched that some people would picket a person's funeral. Plus a phone interview on the Adam Corolla Show with a head representative bitch just seemed like she was trolling them to get pissed at her evangelical bullshit. Fuck.

Heath took things pretty far to play the role, I don't think Malcolm McDowell spent any time in a hotel room alone writing down the most awful things he could think, then get himself to laugh maniacally, trying to find them hilarious as fuck. Then again, McDowell's got a pretty sickly rad sense of humor already, don't you think? Maybe Heath just couldn't handle it.

Wow, that doesn't sounds healthy. Playing games with the inner workings of your mind like that for the sake of a role in a movie is pretty extreme. It certianly wasn't necessary to take it that far.

This whole protesting at funerals is the most retarded thing I have ever heard of. I don't know where this came from, or who started the whole concept of funeral protests. It is very unchristian. Even if your belief system tells you that this guy was wrong for the things he had done in life and is going to burn in hell, what is the point of disrupting the guys funeral if he is already being punished in the afterlife? If you believe in God, then why is there no trust that he will know better than you how to judge someone? Idiots and hypocrites! They bring a bad name to anyone who considers themselves a theist. What they do they obviously don't do for God, but for their own self gratification. Perhaps it makes them feel better about themselfs. A small collective of pathetic little men and women with no self asteem, Fred Phelps sure has an impressive little group of followers. Sorry to quote scripture, but it just feels appropriate.

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
For in the same way as you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

The Westboro Baptist Church members travel all over to protest (Sometimes in more then one city at a time for days at a time), but the WBC only is reported to have 75 members. Here is the BIG question. Who is funding them? It takes lots of money, and I bet they are working as a distraction to other such HATE groups staying out of the media spotlight. The real scary folks are the ones sending these people the money to do what they do.

Maybe they are funded by Iran.

That's dedication. While I respect people who can go to such extremes in pursuit of an ideal, that kind of overworking combined with a lack of sleep and a medley of pills certainly wouldn't have been good for his health.

Oh, McDowell does have a pretty neat sense of humor.

I had these bastards protest a local funeral of an American Soldier who died in combat. Thankfully, a couple of them screwed up and I, along with some of my partners, chucked their greasy asses in jail. It was a very satisfying moment.

We learned about these douchbags in school. THIS is why I think the free speech ammendment is too broad. People who go to funerals and celebrate the deaths of innocent people should be locked up. When people take advantage of our right to free speech, then that right should be revoked. They also give a terrible name to Christians.

Rest In Peace, Heath Ledger.

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

I just saw the film "I'm Not There" today with Heath Ledger in one of the major rolls.

First I'll say, I LOVED this movie! Second, Heath Ledger was GREAT, and his acting was powerful as was all the other actors. Third, the fresh knowledge of Ledger's recent fate did not in any way add or take anything away from the scenes with Ledger. I was hit hard and saddened by the news of his death, as you can see in my past postings on the subject in this forum. With that said, I don't think people should let the fact of Ledger's death dampen your enjoyment of his work. Not in his past films, or in the upcoming Batman movie.

Let's celebrate the man and his fine work.

Of course, you have to remember, freedom of speech doesn't just protect the speech we agree with. But I think it can definitely be argued that they are impeding on the victims rights to grieve. The proverbial right to one's own thang has always been limitless as long as it impedes in no way on anybody else's thang. There's probably something that can be done about this "peaceful assembly" that's obviously hurting people who deserve in no way to be hurt.

There was a documentary from the BBC on these guys called The Most Hated Family in America. Where a reporter visits them and gets to know them. I learned that all of the family are not really bad people. They have just been brainwashed by Fred. They are people to be pitied.

That's not true.

A lot of attention and protest was made when the WBC was protesting at gay youth, and murder victim Matthew Shepard's funeral back in October of 1998.

Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore had a segment all about these fools on his old T.V. show back in the late 1990's.

One funny segment as well.

I guess I was too young back then to remember. But didn't they make a play out of that?

You know, the Rev. Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church looks almost exactly like the evil bad guy Rev. Henry Kane from "Poltergeist II: The Other Side"!

But you should watch that video I gave you a link to. It is really informative about the family. But Micheal Moore should stick to doing comedy. He has a talent for that.
They are picketing one of the people that died in the Nebraska mall shooting to day at this moment.
I'm going to add them to my RSS.

About their funding. Each member is required donate 10% of their income. They spend $250,000 a year doing what they do. They also won about $200k from the city of Topeka as a result of the city trying to stop them from picketing. They hold rather good jobs like in Law and are well educated so I'm guessing they make quite a bit of money.

I'm surprised that they aren't singing God Hates Fags to the Give Peace A Chance tune.

Another Documentry
This one is more of a comedy.
