Yeah, this sucks, I am really looking forward to seeing him in The Dark Knight. I also enjoyed him in The Patriot. It's a shame. I just keep thinking that any minute we'll see Heath Ledger on the news saying how this was a great big hoax by internet hackers and he is okay.
