I have a question that has nothing to do with the arm/flipper OR the introduction of the TIE squads!
After watching the re-edited Luke/Obi-Wan discussion, it flows so much better. It's very natural and you really don't notice just how disjointed the original is until now.
My question is, is it possible that the original story/screenplay was more along these lines but was edited to be disjointed? I say this because I watched the original scene again and, when R2 starts to show the Leia recording, C3PO reacts to it even though he previously says that he was shutting down.
In Ady's cut, it all flows perfectly so it's not an issue. Funnily enough, I didn't really notice it until watching Ady's cut because I thought that he made C3PO's head move for his version, but it's in the original cut.
Maybe it's been addressed in other forums or documentaries or edits, but I haven't heard about it before now. Just another thing that you notice for the first time, even after all these years...
