Just finished watching it.

Wow... just, wow. Like others have said already, this will replace the '04 DVD of ANH for me. I can't wait to show it to my friends over the coming days.

I'd go on in detail about everything I loved, but thanks to seventiesfilmnut, I think he covered all I had to say Other than that, the colour and sound were exceptional; there were a few lines of dialogue that I hadn't even heard before, which your edit seemed to pull out of the background (e.g., 3PO saying "OH NO" as R2 is shutting down the garbage compactor).

Let me just say again that I find the "flipper shot" in the cantina to be great as is. I still don't see any lighting problems with it, but as a few others have mentioned it, I guess my opinion's in the minority. Perhaps a "reshoot" of the flipper would yield lighting results others would be happy with, and if so great, but whatever you do please keep the flipper instead of the hairy paw. As I've mentioned, it's a fix I was delighted to finally see.

And now, in keeping with what seems to be my new tradition, I shall end with a couple questions:

1. Ady, I found the editing of the scene between Luke and Ben in Ben's hut to be exceptionally well done. I'm just curious - what was your motivation for re-editing this scene? Was this how it originally was shot?

2. If a tweaking of the end credits is going to be done, I wanted to poll others on here and ask: do people want to keep their forum names in the credits, or would they prefer to have their real names listed? I was thinking about this myself, and wanted to know what other people thought.

EDIT
Just wanted to add something. I really hate to give any sort of criticism of this edit, but the only thing that didn't look quite right to me was the Falcon coming out of hyperspace around Yavin. It somehow looked a little "off;" perhaps the transition between zooming in and it flying was jerky, perhaps the "zoom in" needed to be faster... I can't put my finger on it, but I just wanted to throw that out there in case it was something you wanted to have a look at.
