The producers wish to "thannk" the government of Tunisia,..........

I wasn't going to mention it but you asked Adywan.....quite frankly the movie is so brilliant in every way I personally could care less about a rare misspelling in the credits......

You have outdone yourself Ady....you really have. Please excuse me now....I have to find my 04'DVD and do something nasty to it.

I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who went straight to the credits to see their name, right? Ady, I don't know why you decided to use my real name instead of my screen name, but I'm psyched that you did! Thanks!!!

Wow..so today I learned about bit torrents and seeding...which I apparently was doing doing all day. LoL...but best of all I got to finally see SW revisited!

Great job Adywan...your attention to detail is much appreciated. I'm about to watch it one more time.

On one hand I'm happy to have a version of AnH that is truly deserving of the subtitle "Special Edition" but on the other hand I feel like this has put to shame GL and ILM for their lackluster job on the 04 DVD's.

Here's hoping they can craft something on this level in the future as well.

Thanks again.

Take care!

I have watched the Obi/Vader fight and Death Star battle tons of times already......have not had time to just sit and watch the whole thing. It is really a fantastic piece of work and I cannot express in words how impressed I am with this edit. The Emporers theme music in the death star briefing room was brilliant and I really thought it was great that Obi/Vader fighting to the same music as in EpIII.

Wow is all I can say.....and thanks for about the hundredth time

seeding ratio: 1076.45 ----- Been Seeding since early this morning.......enjoy everyone

Thanks Adywan, for releasing it (the few bits I've snuck looks at thus far look fantastic, even in those low quality format).

Bring on the DVD releases!!!

PS: Here's another misspelling from the credits.. it's "Rick McCallum" (not "McAllum")

Ready to go

Molly,

I went to the website you suggested and then clicked on the starwars file. And then i clicked on the 'download this torrent' at the top of the page and then i just downloaded the 133kb file which was useless.

I know i'm no computer expert but i feel like a smegging 50 year old idiot with all the techno gobbledegook that is now in the thread!!

Like others i originally wanted to wait for the dvd's themselves but the temptations of the dark side is proving to much for me. Could you guide me how to download the movie?

Thanks,
Bane

uTorrent is another good one. It has worked perfectly for me ever since I started downloading torrents.

My review in one catch phrase...

...Tour de Force...

We all know that ady is incredibly talented, so I won't go on gushing about that. I've spent the last 2 or so hours watching and being amazed. When I saw the 97 SE in the theater, I remember being so incredibly disappointed. It was so cheesy and poorly done. I wanted so desperately to be impressed with GL's new monster, but I was given the middle finger instead. I never even bothered to see the 97 Empire and Jedi in the theater after that. Well, earlier this afternoon I had the feelings I wanted to have 11 years ago when watching an "SE". There are so many little subtle things that were great (interrogation droid needle for example!). I'm sure I also missed tons of others and look forward to discovering them. I watched it alone and I literally let out a loud "Whoa!" at the DS TIE attack. THAT'S what I wanted 10 years ago! I have never been more proud to be a member of this forum than right now. Adywan, thank you for letting us be a part of this... I don't think any of us realize the kind of waves and impact this edit is going to cause. This is truly a watershed moment in the fanedit community and beyond...

P.S. It was also pretty weird (and cool) to see my name in the same grouping of credits that included Ralph McQuarrie. Thanks! it's an honor to have contributed something to this amazing piece of work...

You can go about your business. Move along, move along.

I want so badly to see this movie! But I can't use usenet or torrents! I'll be getting a copy from Johnny Ringo eventually but in the meantime I am so jealous of everyone who's already seen it.

or there is "Transmission" if you're on a Mac

right now I am able to download anywhere from 7k to 25k (highest for me was 57k) - and I'm on DSL

I was thrilled to see see 4 hrs left - then it flipped back to 2 days, 3 hrs and keeps bouncing all over the place.

I'll probably just keep dl and seeding on

- dang it just dropped to 5.8k - keep seeding guys and gals!

Yeah, I'm on DSL too, and my speeds keep bouncing around, as well. Hopefully, as more people join the torrent (especially the UseNet users who have completed their downloads and can hop on to seed), it'll get consistently faster. Torrents are known to be slower at first, but as they "mature", their average speeds increase.

It goes without saying, but I can't wait to see this!

Take care,

I must be lucky then, as I'm on DSL too (as is my tracker, which is hosted on my home PC).

You are always so well spoken MoveAlong. I especially agree with, "I don't think any of us realize the kind of waves and impact this edit is going to cause." I wonder what the cast members would think about LFL's SE effort compared to this..... waves and impact indeed.

I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

a big Thanks Ady,
just got it,didn't even take an hour(love the newsgroups)I can't wait to watch this tomorrow after work.

Ady, you were looking for typos in the credits... i didn't go over them with a fine toothed comb yet, but somewhere in there it says "recorded at Smauel Goldwyn Studios" or something...

I can try to find the exact error tomorrow morning if need be

Apart from that... FANTASTIC job my friend

Quick question:

I'm downloading this via torrent, but took a peek at Usenet.com after reading some of the posts earlier.

I'm tempted to join due to the extreme difference in download speed, but do all newsgroups require you to pay for the service? Any free ones out there? (Yes, I know I'm cheap...)

100% complete on the torrent download. WooHoo!!! I'll be seeding for awhile so hopefully it will go quickly for all those going the torrent route. Took me about 8 hrs. which is pretty long for a less than 2GB file, but I was also one of the first people to jump on as a leecher so it probably will go a lot quicker now that there are more seeders.

It's a rare and dying breed of ISP that provides usenet access in the package... (Mine did. YMMV)

Other than that, I think they're all pay, or read-only and text-only.
