CONGRATULATIONS & THANKS ADYWAN...I have to say this project is like a dream come true for SW fans. For years I posted at a few other forums and we'd endlessly discuss changes and fixes we'd love to see GL make for a Saga box set that has yet to materialize.

It is awesome that a fan took the initiative and went above and beyond expectations to give us something we can be proud of and that truly honors AnH and the SW Saga.

I've been a long time reader of these boards but now I had to join officially - LoL I NEED a copy of this or a DL...

So much like everyone else I'll be on the lookout for this as it becomes available. I've watched the trailers and clips over and over several times the last few months so I am pumped.

Hey Ady!

I've been a lurker since early '07 and I've been following this edit ever since. I figured I should register here at the end and say how thankful I am for you doing this edit, it's really great to see a person actually taking Star Wars this seriously (unlike Uncle George) for once. You've given unbelievable amounts of your time and energy to this project, and I'm glad that it's over for you so you can have some much earned r&r while the rest of us finally have a chance to see a special edition worthy of the name Star Wars.

Congrats on finishing the edit Ady! I've been on and off the boards from time to time but just seeing the level of work you did, I'm merely talking about the Death Star battle, is simply stunning and you have seriously taken the term "fan edit" to a whole new level of sophistication and craftsmanship. I cannot wait to get an NTSC copy here with DVD menus and everything else you did so it can replace my 2004 DVD. You have made the definitive Episode IV as far as I am concerned. I'm sure that, as with many others on the board, that we can wait an extra day for you to have final say on when you release the film. Kick back and relax....until you move onto Empire

Absolutely fantastic news Adywan! Haven't been posting in your thread 'til now - but have been keeping tabs on this as often as possible.

As everyone else says you have done an absolutely tremendous amount of work (if the whole movie is to the standards of the previews you have been releasing!) and you most deservedly need to take a break from this, sit back and watch the positive comments roll in!

Well done Adywan, I can't believe you've finished, as I said a while back, I bust my arm in the middle of November and started reading this thread, it was fantastic reading but what a task, so many changes, so much work. People telling you don't waste your time, another guy has done this and another had done that, they didn't take you seriously.... until the video clips, then people worshiped you!

I can't wait to see this re-imagining, well done Adywan,

I was just thinking -- I would like to respectfully request that once this comes out, that people not post spoilers, at least not for a little while. Not all of us are going to be able to get this at the same time, and it would be nice to preserve the surprises in store, while still being able to check the thread for availability and other news. Maybe we can find a way to highlight our posts to hide spoilers, or perhaps create a new thread for the release, in which spoilers would be allowed? If not, then we'll make do, but I thought I'd put the request out there.
