I know. That's why I pointed it out. But, yes, you're right. If it turns out he's innocent, he could be released. But you were the one who was championing for him to "rot in jail for the rest of his life." It's not that I don't agree with you on that point, either. He should either be killed or rot... it's just that the statement wasn't doing much for your argument.
oh my God. fine. I've changed the original quote to make my point clearer to all morons it now reads:
Of course not! A kitchen knife is a pretty pathetic excuse for a improvised weapon. You don't honestly think the guys second choice would have been a kitchen knife do you? Actually, had he really known anything he might have managed to take out a lot more people than he did. There are plenty of ways to hurt a lot of people without guns or kitchen kifes. Wars did not begin with the invention of the gun.

What would be so wrong with Massey rotting in jail for the rest of his life(unless it was found out he didn't do it, in which case, he would then be let go) ?
there. that better?
p.s. I wasn't championing anything, I was asking a question.
I don't think its that's simple to make a semi-auto hand gun or an uzi. If it were, they wouldn't cost $900(as Sean said).

I say again, do you think as many people would have died at VT if that guy had attacked with a kitchen knife instead of a gun?

Home made firearms are a lot easier to make than you think. I don't know what makes you think they are difficult to make, they are actually a very simple machines. But the idea that you would even have to bother to make homemade firearms is rediculous. There are plenty out there already, even if they are illegal there is nothing stopping dishonest people from obtaining them in illegal ways.

what else would he have used? a bow and arrow? he still wouldn't have been able to kill as many people.
name me another weapon that can kill as many as a gun and as quickly, but can't be banned(because we use it for something other than just killing, we use it for something important)?
