Ironic that is it the American ultra liberal who is the most anti-American. Sweeney is obviously American because all his pictures have to do with typical American anti-Americanism and not foreign anti-Americanism. What exactly has the national rifle association done to you sweeney? Why is it so wrong for me to have weapons to protect my family with? Or for me to use to hunt food with? Is it bad just because Michael Moore says it is? Is it so bad just because a very small number out of a very vast number use them for bad? Do you honestly thing violent crime would end if the NRA wasn't around and if firearms were banned from the USA? What do you ban next? Kitchen knives? All sharp objects longer than three inches in length? What kind of world do you want to live in sweeney? Why don't you take a look at the good America does sweeney instead of only focusing on the things you find negative? You don't deserve to live in such a country. Why don't you get the hell out. Do us a lot more good than the banning of firearms. Let's ban self rightous bigot ultra liberal anti-Americans. Why don't you move to Iraq or Iran? I think you will find them right up your alley. Or maybe China, I bet you would feel right at home there. Kenya is a nice place too. Or how about England, Germany or France? Those places are all perfect and don't have any dark moments in there history, nothing as awful as slavery or the KKK at least, right? Honestly, if you are going to piss on the US for its history, especially things that happened generations ago, you better have a good bladder full to soak the rest of the world as well. And as for you not knowing about that one so much, I am sure you wouldn't. But it is one I have seen first hand in numerous occasions. It is one I have heard many non-Americans say about America, and I think it stands very true. I have no idea where you are from, or what places you have been to. But I will assume you live in the country you were born in. Maybe you have gone to other places on vacation, but if you try to live in another country you will see how hard it is. You can learn the language and make friends, but if you live there long enough you will figure out that you can never really belong. You will always be what you are. You will always be to some extent a fish out of water. You can go to a lot of countries in the world where no matter how long you stay there, the people will always identify you as "the foreigner". America being the melting pot it is, you can come here and be what you are, maybe some idiots will identify you as foreign and make fun of your culture, but for the most part you will be around people who were immigrants themselves not more than a couple of generations back. You'll be around people who are used to living around and working with people from other countries and cultures. I have had a ton of people tell me they love America because they felt welcome right after moving here, something they have never felt while living in any other country. When in Rome do as the Romans do; when in America be as you like.

For the record, Truman, who ordered the nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, was a Democrat. Not to mention that The Manhattan Project was under his Democratic predecessor, Roosevelt. Lyndon Johnson was behind Vietnam. Janet Reno was behind Waco.
Meanwhile I haven't given up on my country. George W. Bush WILL be out of office on January 20, 2009. He has NOT been named Chancellor for Life. That is the primary indicator that things are not as dire as they seem.

It feels really good to hear somebody say that. Wish more people could realize it. Also it feels like Bush has become the one-size-fits-all scape goat. People really need to look at the last several years more objectively rather than buying into all this "Bush is the problem, once he is out of the office life will be great" nonsense. I'm sorry, but people like Sweeney really upset me. And they're all over the place. My high school history teacher is one of them. He's a big fan of China- talks about it all the time. Ooh- isn't he an intellectual.
Kind of funny since in communist China, he would have pretty much no personal freedom at all.

2. A stupid public because of an deteriorated educational system
3. Breakdown of the family unit

I'm not a Ron Paul supporter. I agree with a lot of views but not enough. So Ron Paul had a picture taken with a guy from Stormfront, big deal I doubt he even knew who he was. It doesn't mean he is racist. A lot of people have funded Ron Paul.

Because they have only had the majority for one year and in the senate especially, they have been blocked by the new Republican Minority with a record number of filibusters. The very thing they railed on Democrats for when the roles were reversed. Like I said, they're all to blame.
While I believe in term limits for Congress, I feel Americans are doing a poor job of using the term limit already offered them: The Ballot. Want to send a message to Washington? Lay aside which party you like and vote out the incumbent, even if you like him better than his opposition. 435 new Representatives. 1/3 of the Senate replaced. If all the Congressional districts did that in November the "new" Congress would be forced to step in line and do a better job serving the people who put them there.
